  Very comfortable and relaxing, very helpful and pleasant staff. The dining facilities were excellent and the lunch and dinner menus offered very good choice at great value. Very scenic surroundings. - Excellent hotel only a few minutes from the M60 and my meetings in Stockport, and in a nice peaceful location. Staff all helpful and friendly, and room was very spacious with nice flat screen TV and free wireless internet.   The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet despite its location on a main road. Rooms were well maintained. We asked for a quiet room and got one. We ate in the bar and the food and wine were very good. The restaurant menu looked terrific. Very interesting art on the walls - unusual in a hotel? It felt like the hotel was cared about and not part of some impersonal and anonymous chain. good public transport just outside.

  The owner was do helpful. She sent us clear directions from the trainstation at davenport to maple lodge. Accommodation is 10 min walk from train station and 5 min walk to good bus route in to manchester. Had a concert at Manchester Apollo and was £4 return on bus.   Excellent value, have stayed in a wide range of hotels and for modernity and cleanliness this hotel ranks amongst the best. Generous tea, coffee, etc in the room, bright white towels and easy to follow instructions for the shower. Good value breakfast - we paid £5 each. For the amount we paid for the room it surpassed expectations. Friendly staff ... wat mensen zeggen » helped to advise on direct bus route into Manchester, and location meant taxi was just over £20 back on a Saturday night. - The friendliness of the staff comfortable bed superb breakfast close proximity of shops and bus stops right out side the door and across the road also. Knowing it was on a busy road I wore earplugs at night so was not bothered by traffic noise. I will go back to Henry's whenever I go to Manchester. Regular buses into Manchester etc
