Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend.

I stayed here by myself for 2 nights. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Nothing was an issue, and with the perfect weather it was pleasant to sit outside in the garden and enjoy a view of Lake Windermere. Service was

Everything from the cosy very well decorated room, warm hostess who was extremely helpful in finding activities and transport info. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a minute away from the lake. Breakfast was very nice and the access to the SPA at the Old McDonald is the cherry on top. I found Lingwood Lodge to be very clean and comfortable, the
owners/staff were very friendly which means allot when you are on
your own, the room was excellent and the dining room and breakfast were
very good indeed, I had stayed as a stopover on the way back from
Scotland and I will certainly book another room there. Very good indeed.
Also it was within easy reach of the town centre. I wish I had stayed
