Staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms were lovely, it's easy to see what a great house the building must once have been. The room was excellent value for money, especially as the price included breakfast, and the location is good, only 10 mins walk down the hill into Bath. Don't let your satnav take you through the scary backs

V friendly staff - good setting up the hill from the city but with a fine view from upper floors - bedroom was functional clean comfortable with a v powerful shower - and although the decor was a little tired and dated it added to the overall feel of an old English hotel from years ago - so whilst that could seem negative in fact it added to the fun of the one night stay.

What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.).

location is great for exploring Bath - near station as we travel by train and central for shops, theatre, etc.

The staff were unbelievably helpful and nothing was too much trouble... they even dried our swimmers for us on our last day! I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bath. De bediening was goed. Eten was goed. - The room was so much more than basic. We found it very inviting as soon as we walked in. The evening meal was done to perfection, and breakfast would satisfy anybody. - The staff were all very efficient and friendly and the surroundings were second to none.
