  A lovely location amazingly close to key histories of early Scotland. In one day from our hotel base we took in Castle Lachlan ... our 'clan' roots; the site of the crowning of the early sixth century Scotti's, Dunard; the amazing Saint Columba's cave; old Inveraray jail; and much more ... parts of our own country we had only viewed on tv. Great v... wat mensen zeggen » alue and warm welcome from an engaging Loch Melfort staff, with mussels and fish to die for! This excellent value utility accomodation, somewhat disap - The location is fantastic - I've never had such a beautiful view from a hotel window before! We sat on the balcony for hours wrapped in our blankets, enjoying our (complementary!) hot chocolates and biscuits. The rooms are lovely and large, the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very nice, and the lounge area was comfortable and relaxing. I'm only sadder that we weren't able to stay longer - will definitely be back!
