  What a lovely hotel Archways Lodge is - friendly staff, spot on cleanliness, the most comfy bed I have ever slept in, kitchenette facilites a bonus! I adored the decoration and the personal touches. I have never stayed in a hotel and found funny little figurines and air freshner in the bathroom! It was almost home from home which tempts me to say ... wat mensen zeggen » that I would have appreciated a lounge area to experience and enjoy even more this tastefully furbished building. - Very warm welcome by the two members of staff - one of them went the extra mile and printed a map and directions to a wedding venue in the middle of nowhere! Room was ready by noon which allowed us to change for wedding. Whilst no restaurant there was a very useful "kitchen in a cupboard" with some nice touches - coffee, orange juice, crisps, microwave, wine glasses etc. Plenty of parking. The "chambermaid" was a hoot!

  I booked this hotel as my son was getting married and I needed a convenient base for the family. It worked out very well and the hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly, pleasant and patient with us. The 2 bedroom apartment which is separate from the old part of the hotel is quite modern, very comfortable and well laid out with everything n... wat mensen zeggen » ecessary for a weekend stay - although you could easier stay there for a week or two. The rooms in the actual hotel are also comfortable and quite la - Enjoy the hundreds of years old wooden quirky White Hart for what it is. It is not a modern concrete square hotel. You will be pushed to find a flat floor upstairs as the oak beams have bowed with time. Very nice staff and helpful, always most busy. Nice selection of meals, cooked correctly and serviced well. Nice to visit again and again..

  Great people! They are very attentive to both the B&B and to their guests. This was our first stay at a B&B. I was soo excited to see how clean and neat everything was and our room, The Avalon House B & B was, everything I was hoping for and more. When we couldn't make breakfast on our last day (which was really sad because breakfas... wat mensen zeggen » t was AMAZING), the manager packed us a delicious, nutritious breakfast to go. The personal touches were everything. You can't go wrong with The Ava - Manager went over and above to make us feel welcome - we were in St Albans for the half marathon and he was more than happy to let us use the room again after check out time to shower after the race, which was very much appreciated.

  A beautiful location overlooking Chipperfield Common. Beautiful 18th Century hotel, with fabulous hotel suites, designed for luxury and comfort. - The staff was very accomodating in providing assistance in booking aroom due to no reservation being received from LetsBookHotel.com. Theyinitially had only 4 of the 5 nights available but found another... wat mensen zeggen » nearbysite for the 5th night. On the last day, they had a cancellation andwere able to cancel the other reservation so we could stay.
