The location is superb, merely blocks from the beach, and surrounded by bars, restaurants and cafes. The city itself is small and rather walkable, with beautiful views of the bay. The hotel is short walk from Gros, which has some amazing restaurants, Donostarria in particular. Parking can be an issue. There is an underground lot in the center of town, but you will need to walk several blocks with your bags as there is no means of traversing the plaza with your car. I liked the unique exposed beams and the stone in the room. I liked that they had ear plugs in the room for you in case it got too loud at night to sleep. But the noise is only from outside, you could not hear anything beside you or above you. Noise is not a factor in just this hotel, because the entire area is full of hotels and restaurants, so people are walking and talking throughout the streets. It is very centrally located and convenient.
The lovely owner, very friendly, gave us directions to the local Lidl & local market as we arrived late & needed to purchase toiletries we weren't allowed as hand luggage.
The renevation was sympathetic to the building, very well thought through & the beds were very comfortable, beautiful balcony & a lovely warm room. Great pension. In many ways the typical spanish city pension experience (small, clean, good value, helpful staff) but with enough panache on the decor to feel like you were having a bit of a treat. Superb cafe for breakfast and brunch serving much broader than normal range of food just downstairs.
Location was perfect in and amongst old town. Easily accessible to shops, restaurants and all what u need in walking distance. Very close to la choncha beach and view points only 200metres away from tourist points. Room was clean and tidy and modern. There was a balcony in the triple room.
We had a very friendly welcome by the pension, lovely people but particularly the young guy on reception - he spoke English and helped us get our bearings for our brief stay, giving us maps and directing us to where we wanted to be and advice on what to see.
The perfect location for hopping the pintxos bars in the Old Town. Public parking less than a minute walk from the hotel. Very close to the sea.
Nice rooms, excellent wifi. I can recommend it to business travellers as well as tourists.
Perfect location, very friendly staff - they even allowed me to park my
bike inside the room with very white walls! Plus, breakfast in a nice
café nearby is included into the price.
Great location right in the middle of the old part of town, very close to restaurants and to beach
Lovely, clean, well decorated rooms with exposed brick and beams - very cosy.
Great location, bit of a walk from parking, but if you want to be in the old town, thats the only option. A few steps from some fantastic tapas restaurants!.
Excellent location in old town, close to the best restaurants, bars, the beach and the train station. The room was amazing and the bed was big and comfy.
The hotel is in great location, the room is nice and clean. The reception is kind and give us good advise on restaurants.
the location of this place was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and I loved the sweets on reception.
Incredible location, beautiful room, clean, convenient, very helpful staff all for an incredible price.
Great location. The owner was very nice. Nice modern clean decor and facilities in old building.
Thgis was a very clean, well-appointed small-hotel room. Very close to the town center.
The manager was very nice and accomodating. The location was wonderful.
Room was very nice and comfortable. Very clean.
Excellent location.
Great location in the heart of old town, clean and cosy pension.
Location in the historical center
Room: elegant and comfortable.
was in a great location, close to the beaches and shops.
friendly staff, very clean,in the center of old town.
Great location.

Friendly staff.
Clean, rooms right in the centre of town.
location, value for money.

Staff and location.
Lovely room.
place is new & clean & has basic necessities & location has good access to main tourist interests; staff helpful & friendly within language limits.
excellent location in the centre of san sebastian, right in the middle of the old centre, clean rooms, good bed.
Rooms were clean and adequate and location in the old town was excellent for the pinxto bars.
very good located, very clean and very well decorated.
secure building. location was great. price was good.
friendly owner, charming atmosphere.
It was clean and central.
Location is the only thing to like, however it is very noisy - both the street outside as well as the thin walls inside.
Very good location in the old quarter.
Ubicación.
Only one staff worker spoke English, but every one was very accommodating.
The noise, but we got ear plugs for the second night & almost got a full nights sleep,it wasn't the apartment at fault though,it's a busy area of the beautiful old town with lots going on,it wouldn't put me off staying again,I'd just remember my ear plugs.Internal walls quite thin so can hear a lot.
The owners were very very rude, did not come across friendly at all. Not even a friendly hello and goodbye. Which made it very unapproachable for certain things. Did not speak English at all. Was not helpful in sense of directions, what to do or eat in the area. Did not offer any ideas or maps or anything useful for a tourist. U have to rely on yourself or the information office.
The walls are paper thin at the pension. We were three girlfriends sharing a room so inevitably are chatting as we came and went. We certainly were not noisy so didn't appreciate being told to keep quiet!.
No facilities for breakfast or drinks. Bit of a funny entrance, look carefully the is only a small sign. Although they advertise a 24 hrs reception this is not really the case. When checking out at 07:30 the receptionist showed up straight from under the blankers ;-).
It was perfect except from the weather.
A little noisy...but that's mainly a result of the party atmosphere in the town on the first night we stayed and not really a fault of the hotel!.
nothing, I would most definitely recommend or visit again.
One set of keys for three guests!.
Supposed to be 150 Eu for 2 nights-charged 170 Eu. Rooms small.
Room was small and there was a bit of noise but was fine.
Being told that it was very "suave" and that we were to be respectful and that we were not allowed to go out late.
No ac and street was loud and smelly.
Lobby of building smelt of mildew.
Shower curtain didn't hold water in so bathroom would be soaked.
really noisy location and paper thin walls but would certainly recommend to those who don't mind sleeping with ear plugs, only one member of the staff speaks english.
we didnt dislike anything in particular, it was noisy from the street below but that did not bother us at all.
no parking around had to pay 16E for each day.
Hard to find as on a pedestrian street and when I called the reception to get directions she didn't have very good English and I didn't have very good Spanish so I didn't get anywhere and had to find my own way.
all good.
-No breakfast/food available
-Bit expensive for a hostal.
pillows were bad.
Window in room could use a shade to block out the street light.
We were there in the middle of a festival and it was very load.
cramped room; noisy street at night; their modem required reboot on 2 occasions for us to access web.
Very limited sound isolation, you can literally hear people talk in the street, and in the next rooms.
Strong smell of garlic in b and b.
noisy floorboards outside the room
no airconditioning.
as mentioned before, the apartment is in a central location in an old building, therefore, due to the noise coming from the street you will probably won't be able to sleep late... if you are ready for this, this is defiantly a good place to stay.
very noisy rooms both outside (as the windows face the noisy alleyways).. lots of noise at night time from buskers and drunks. THE FLOORBOARDS in the foyer are SO noisy! everytime someone walks on them in the morning, you can hear the 'snapping' sound.
impossible to access by car. difficult to find. very noisy in early morning. room rather small.
They didnt speak any English at all and the reviews said they were
helpful etc - not sure how. They also handed me ear plugs on arrival as
very noisy. I got a coupon for breakfast for one day but not both. All
my friends much less for larger accomodation.
The place is dirty and value for money is very low.
Old windows /shutters did not close properly. Street noise was horrendous. It is very hard to communicate with the owner/manager as she doesn't speak any English at all.
Muchisimo ruido todos los días de la semana.
