  From the moment we arrived Bixen, the owner, made us feel very welcome. The room was large, clean and the bed do comfortable. The views are fabulous, but you need to go to appreciate how pretty it is and quiet. Too tip, it is off the beaten track but follow the signs for Higer (lighthouse) which is not around the coast as I thought and you will so... wat mensen zeggen » on see signs for 'Higeralde' on your left. Bixon will guide you if lost. You will not get a better view and just sitting out eating breakfast on the t - The facilities, room and situation are unbeatable. Overlooks east to the Spanish (Hondaribbia) and French (Hendaye) towns. The owner / host is a young enthusiastic, energetic, charming and helpful man... Etc...this is a fantastic place to stay and explore the intriquing Basque area. It is a bit hard to find. Set the sat nav to find the (also excellent) 'Arroka berri' restaurant.   Really beautiful and comfortable palace with the surrounding countryside providing the perfect setting. Only 30mins drive to San Sebastián. 45 mins to Bilboa. Everything was just great. Not hard to find as we put the town location into the Gps and there were signs from the town intersection to the hotel. Hotel also provided us with plenty of info ... wat mensen zeggen » on how to arrive. - Beautifully appointed and decorated hotel. Fabulous large bedroom. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Restaurant is outstanding. The chef - a charming guy - likes to meet his guests and talk about his dishes and the way he prepares them. The "black" fillet steak is brilliant!! All highly recommended.

  Ignacio and his wonderful "team" was a credit to this small friendly hotel,nothing was to much trouble,they looked after us splendidly ,even providing a superb meal,even though the restaurant was closed ( we arrived very late after driving 800 k!)   We were travelling with our dogs and had a superb room overlooking the bay. The hotel is an old townhouse with loads of character. We had booked a space in their garage . . . Getaria old town is three beautiful old streets going along the narrow strip with the bay on one side and the calmer - again sandy larger bay with harbour for fishing fleet... wat mensen zeggen » and yachts and motorboats plus a designated bathing area. We ate at the May Flower [a fish grill restaurant] overlooking the port - superb; there - Fabulous town, wonderful food, Hotel is built on a narrow ridge above the bay where you can watch the surfers from your room with a floor to ceiling glass wall. We chose the old style room with wooden shutters looking north with our own balcony and view of red tile roofs, the church bell tower and the ocean in the back ground. Just wonderful!!!! This is a superior hotel and staff; just sorry we were not staying much longer.

  We werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen. De kamer was van alle gemakken voorzien en luxe ingericht. Schoon. Goede bedden. - Very comfortable, clean and quiet with excellent kitchen facilities. - The apartment was excellent, clean, well appointed and the service areas were also finished to a high standard and well maintained.

  Irenaz resort was located on the edge of a beautiful green valley that was so relaxing. There was often music traveling up from somewhere on the mountain and it made us really feel like we were in Europe. The location is a bit out of San seb city but the bus stop is 100metres down the road and for 1.60 euro takes you 11-15 minutes to get into town... wat mensen zeggen » . The staff were really lovely and helpful with everything from beaches, San Fermin and resturants. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the bathroo - The apartments were very modern and private, overlooking the valley on the outskirts of San Sebastián. We specifically chose the location because we had a car we didn't want to use in the city and parking was free. The apartments were close to a bus stop with regular buses taking about 15 minutes to reach the centre of the city. The reception staff were very helpful in assisting us with a damage report we needed to fax to the leasing company.

  A beautiful old building in a lovely square within a delightful old quarter of the town. Although Hondarribia itself is a bit upmarket touristy and busy (mainly Spanish tourists - very few Brits!) this part of the town is quiet and dignified. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff very welcoming. We travelled around most days (eg San Sebastiá... wat mensen zeggen » n, Pamplona, Bilbao, Biarritz are all within an hour's drive) and ate at any of the several bars in the old quarter when we got back in the evening. T - Excellent experience at Hotel Palacete for a young couple in search of comfortable hotel accommodations for a week of hiking adventures and exploration. Front desk attendant was multilingual and was very helpful during our stay to connect us with local entertainment options and transportation. Hotel location was perfect for our needs - not in busy San Sebastian but a short bus ride away, with plenty available in Hondarribia and a convenient 5-minute ferry to Hendaye, Aquitaine, FR.

  Superb value for money, a 2 minute walk from a beautiful beach surrounded by mountains in a small bay. I was travelling with 2 small dogs and it's not always easy to find pet-friendly hotels but they were so accommodating and helpful. The rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, in fact it was better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. I also thought the mini fridge in the common area with - The staff were really very helpful. They sorted out my diet, helped us to book train tickets on line, helped to sort out the aftermath of a minor accident, were always very friendly...in short wonderful. The hotel was clean and modern, the room was good and comfortable, the breakfast was good- all in all very good value and highly recoemended.

  Een heerlijk hotel op een rustige en prachtige plek om diverse aspecten van Noord Spanje te ontdekken, stad (San Sebastian), strand, natuur enz. Ook als overnachting op reis richting ZW Spanje of Portugal aan te bevelen. Bijzonder aardige en hardwerkende familie. Prima kamers met goede badkamer. Snel en betrouwbaar draadloos internet. Wij komen hier zeker terug! - About 4 Km form San Sebastian, the hotel though hard to locate, is in peaceful countryside with a small but excellent restaurant. The staff (probably the owners) were always pleasant and ready to assist or to advise. The room, recently refurbished to high standard, was entirely adequate and most comfortable. For short stays, it is an excellent choice, though for those seeking a longer vacation base, it may prove to be too isolated . - A cosy hotel with a warm welcome. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was simple and delicious. The location is quiet and there's free parking. The rooms were furnished and finished to a high and comfortable standard, especially within this price bracket. We will definitely stop here, again.
