  The owner was amazing. He took his time to tell us about the amazing history of the house and was patient with our bad Spanish, switching to English whenever we didn't understand something. I really liked this since I'm very shy about speaking Spanish and slow to understand but I like the opportunity to try.   All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, in particular Maja, who helped us when we needed to visit the local hospital. The room was lovely and the bed was huge! Everything we wanted to see in the old town was within walking distance. We had a very relaxing time walking around the narrow streets amongst the beautiful old build... wat mensen zeggen » ings of Girona. There were plenty of different restaurants to eat in and we had some great food during our visit there. We really enjoyed our holiday - Everything! Location was unbeatable and contrary to many old town centres, the taxi could take us right to the door. The staff was helpful, all receptionists were like Concierges: they recommended sites, restaurants. The room had all the latest amenities and comforts but the bonus was beautiful decor in and out of room and wonderful smell everywhere. Will go back!

  The location, nestled in the historic district, very interesting, charming. The person at the front desk, when we finally arrived, very helpful. He even moved his car so we could park close to the hotel. Breakfast was good,liked having the fried eggs, in addition to the other offerings. The room, however, was freezing. - It was just as described,... wat mensen zeggen » very clean. Our bedding and towels were changed after two days which was a treat. Others had complained about the church bells but we had no problem and slept well in the comfortable beds.

  Excellent location on Cuitadans, very convenient for sightseeing. Apartment comfortable, great welcome from Hotel Historic staff who brought the key. Easy check-in (I rang the hotel, and they arrived at the apt within 10 mins), and they also booked a taxi to pick us up outside the apartment on our last day.   The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel and the staff very friendly. The location is superb, a short walk into the old town and great restaurants. Good shopping all around the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. We had a deluxe apartment which could easily hold a family in great comfort with two bedrooms, kitchen and sizable living room ar... wat mensen zeggen » ea. It's an easy place to use as a base camp for day trips to the coast or other areas in the Costa Brava. We were directed to close by free parking - Actually didn't stay at the hotel due to technical problems but was booked in to a hotel round the corner (and had a junior suite!). Came back to Nord 1901 to use the pool and was offered a free drink. Staff at Nord 1901 are excellent, very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel is also very close to the town centre (by foot) where there are some very good restaurants (I'd recommend Mimolet which has excellent 30 euro menu)
