  The location, nestled in the historic district, very interesting, charming. The person at the front desk, when we finally arrived, very helpful. He even moved his car so we could park close to the hotel. Breakfast was good,liked having the fried eggs, in addition to the other offerings. The room, however, was freezing. - It was just as described,... wat mensen zeggen » very clean. Our bedding and towels were changed after two days which was a treat. Others had complained about the church bells but we had no problem and slept well in the comfortable beds.

  The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel and the staff very friendly. The location is superb, a short walk into the old town and great restaurants. Good shopping all around the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. We had a deluxe apartment which could easily hold a family in great comfort with two bedrooms, kitchen and sizable living room ar... wat mensen zeggen » ea. It's an easy place to use as a base camp for day trips to the coast or other areas in the Costa Brava. We were directed to close by free parking - Actually didn't stay at the hotel due to technical problems but was booked in to a hotel round the corner (and had a junior suite!). Came back to Nord 1901 to use the pool and was offered a free drink. Staff at Nord 1901 are excellent, very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel is also very close to the town centre (by foot) where there are some very good restaurants (I'd recommend Mimolet which has excellent 30 euro menu)

A Family arrived at the same time as me and were clearly looked after well, even offered to store bicycles inside. The roof terrace has beautiful views over the heart of girona and is large enough for private conversations.

  This is a family run business and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within a few minutes walk of the train and bus station and is ideally situated for early morning flights, or forays into other areas, including France. It is withing walking distance of the old city, (5 mins) and an array of modestly priced restaurants. All of... wat mensen zeggen » these are easily found by following the river. It is also very close to markets and coffee shops. I would definitely stay there again. - at first I thought room was a bit basic, but.... The beds were comfy ( we had a double and a pull down), room spacious enough and the shower was great. The breakfast was great- continental and a good selectiof cheese.meats and pastries etc. The staff were helpful and polite and the location was fine-the pensione was central to the Old town. I travelled with my 72 years old mum and my 18 year old daughter, and this met our needs!
