David is a most welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable host. He seems to run the place pretty much single-handed, but he was always available when we needed him. The property is basically run as a B&B or as a pension, but the historic conversion, which is both sensitive and effective, gives the house much more atmosphere and soul than those descriotors might suggest.

Casa Grande is the ideal place for visiting Jerez and its surroundings. I spent four nights in Jerez and got all the help needed from Monika and her staff. I visited a sherry bodega and went to a flamenco dance show. Cadiz with its nice beaches can be easily reached by train. For all activities the staff was very helpful. The hotel itself is an old townhouse that has been well refurbished. It has a typical patio, a nice roof terrace and tasteful furnishing.

Very personable proprietors. Easy walk to city centre. Don't let the
title "hostel" fool you because it felt every bit like a family-
run hotel. It was beautiful with sunlight pouring into the foyer. My
room was spacious with a nice touch of the ancient wall exposed. High
quality for price! I would stay here again, for sure!
