  We arrived at Lion's Rock not knowing what to expect as the internet was our only reference. We were met by very friendly and accommodating staff and throughout our stay they could not do enough to make us feel welcome and satisfied. The rooms were comfortable and very clean and with great views. Lion, white lion, ben - Lionsrock is highly specific in what it is and what it does. For that reason it is a very interesting place to visit - for a day or so. It is a little inaccisible vis-a-vis other attractions around the eastern Free State, reinforcing the need for a short visit. Staff and facilities are good for a 3-star establishment.

  Chef is amazing and the chalet was just out of this world. Its a little piece of heaven that needs to be shared with family and friends, Gardens exquisite - Excellant accommodation. Very helpful staff, warm and friendly. Had all our meals in house and they were of very good quality.

  Excellent location. First time visit to Clarens and could walk to all shops & restaurants. Try and book rooms facing back as it can become busy over long weekends with Vito restaurant in front downstairs from rooms. Wonderful fireplace with wood ready every evening to start fire as well as lovely Port & chocolates. Manager Andrew very helpful with suggesting restaurants etc. Will definitaly book again and rec - We were made to feel welcome by the Manager (Andrew) and allocated a beautiful room with a functioning fireplace. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. A lovely romantic outing for a week-end, or even longer. Thank you for a special time spent at your establishment.
