  We had a fantastic stay at the Residence. After a rough 12-day-trip through Botswana, we were delighted with the overwhelming luxurous feeling of this hotel. The staff is very friendly, their personal touch and attention for meticulous details makes it one of the best hotels we've stayed in.   Amazingly friendly hosts who catered to our every need - including treating us like friends giving us lifts everywhere and the most delicious breakfasts including fresh scones and croissants.   Very nice lodge close enough to Jo'burg city center and around the corner from Sandton's Mandela Square (mall, restaurants). The kind owners and friendly staff helped us organizing all sorts of interesting day-trips in and around Johannesburg. The optional three course dinner at night was excellent and well worth the price.
