  My friend and I stayed here for one night only as we arrived from Europe at 8pm and was flying to Cusco the following day, and although the hotel is really expensive it’s certainly worth it purely for the location alone. As soon as you come out of the arrivals hall the hotel is slap bang right in front of you. The room was very large and very clean with tv / dvd, the WiFi though wasn’t as reliable as we’d - Location, location, location. 24 hour spa ... and you really can get a massage at 2am because I did. The staff here are very helpful and courteous. Although you can definitely get cheaper elsewhere, and I have, the convenience of being directly opposite and attached to the terminal cannot be beaten if you are transiting through Lima. Even if you don't want to stay and have a few hours to kill, I suggest checking in and then visiting the day spa.

  Perfect for an overnight stay between flights. Not far from airport, and hotel arranged transfers ($14 each way). Safe, efficient and reliable. Room was huge - actually like a large studio apartment with kitchen, and lounge, and dining room table. Quiet, comfortable sleep, with breakfast served to room before taxi arrived. I am going to stay with them each time in Lima, a - This hotel was a great place if you have a one night stop over in Lima as it is closer to the airport than miraflores but is in a safe part of town. It is very clean and nicely decorated with a good breakfast typical of Peru's tourist breakfast (rolls, eggs, fruit, juice, coffee etc).

Slept well as noise level was low on our side of hotel. Since we could not stay for breakfast, we were given a carry away bag. Thought that was very nice. Look forward to returning to Lima and will definitely stay at Gran Hotel Bolivar again.

  I booked this hotel prior to a group trip through Peru. The hotel is perfectly situated right in the old city centre with all the important sites within a few minutes walking. As they have a night porter, I felt safe even at arriving at 4am on my arrival day. Other travelleres have commented on the noise coming from the street - if you want peace ... wat mensen zeggen » and quiet, a hotel in the countryside should be considered...this is a city centre hotel in the capital of Peru! It did not bother me at all. - Great location in central Lima. Walk to shops, restaraunts and great people watching. Rooms were clean with a well stocked fridge. Other reviewers had complained about the stairs and that was not a problem. The doorman walked us down the street at 5:00 in the morning to get us a taxi.
