There are three flyss buss stops very close - only 40€ to get to downtown Bergen (fish market, the mountain tram, train station) The breakfast was delicious, the room very comfortable - I found the price one of the best in Bergen ... It was a great base for the fjord trips and enjoying the city. - The bedroom was clean and a relaxing environment with modern, interesting styling and decoration.   For Norway, a reasonable price. We did not mind cleaning for ourselves at the end of our stay. Clean, modern, comfortable for a family. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals. Most likely you need a car. It was summer, so we used this as a homebase. Some daytrips we enjoyed: Gudvangan and ferry to/from Flam. We also drove to Jo - Very good equipment in the room, friendly stuff, reception works 24/7. Great location - in a hour you can reach 1) Gudvangen to the East (great Naroyfjord nearby, and also stunning view from the serpantine road above the tonnel to Gudvangen), 2) great Hardangerfjord to the South 3) Sognefjord to the North (and near the road to Sognefjord you can walk over snow fields even in August!).   Very contemporary hotel with luxurious lobby. Room was very large, and included a trouser press, coffee machine and small fridge. The bathroom had heated tiles. The breakfast buffet was excellent both in quality and choice. Pancakes were made on the spot with organic maple syrup.   There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was varied and more than adequate. Front desk... wat mensen zeggen » staff Christer and Linn were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The only downside was late night music from a waterfront bar which kept us awake o - Room was very large and very comfortable for a family of four. The staff was accommodating, breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We had taken it as a stopover before our trip of the Fjords, the hotel was a great place to spend the night specially since we traveled from Oslo and reached late, there were enough places to grab a bite even at 11 in the night.

  the room felt like a small house: there was a mini bar, a porch with great view to the mountains. we had a kettle in our room which was very helpful. there were computers for use of the guests free of charge with free internet in the lobby. the staff was very helpful and kind. breakfast was great . - We travel with 1,5 year old child and it was... wat mensen zeggen » good choice becasue hotel was quiet with resonable walking distance to main atractions like old city, harbor (10min) or central rail station (15min). Brekfast was delicious with big choice. Reception reacts very fast on your requests.
