If one did not feel like walking, there was an excellent tram service. The hotel is a beautiful Amsterdam mansion from the 1800s across from a park.   Excellent location in an upscale neighbourhood close to the hustle and bustle of the city but far enough away for it to a relaxing retreat. Being right next to Vondelpark was a wonderful benefit. The room was very elegant and comfortable. Having the kitchen was very helpful and reasonably stocked which is really a benefit when travelling with kids... wat mensen zeggen » . The coffeemaker for cappachinos was a lovely added benefit. The Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. We only took it on the first day - This property has charming private suites with a special extra touch of amenities. They offer a delicious breakfast with a deluxe coffee/espresso-maker in the room. Our suite has a deep soaking bathtub and separate shower with rain-shower and hand held shower-head. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and as if we were at home.   La Remise was a wonderful place to stay for our two days in Amsterdam. Breakfast was delicious and made to order each morning. The owner was incredibly hospitable and helpful in directing us to sights and restaurants within the city. We would highly recommend La Remise to any travelers wishing to vacation, yet feel like a local. Would most certainly stay at La Remis - La Remise is in a quiet street but close to all the activities. The well designed room/bathroom was 'roomy', warm and very comfortable and the served morning breakfast set us up for the day.Our charming host was very helpful: offering advice on places to visit or where to go to eat. I/we would recommend this place to couples. La Remise is quite special.

  Lovely little place in a great location, a short walk into city centre. I knew I would have to park motorcycle on street, but found a convenient place almost outside hotel. Being on holiday, I missed the e-mail sent from the hotel enquiring on our arrival time, short wait for the door to be opened. Our room and bathroom were lovely. We loved the character of the house (we stayed in the loft room). It was very close to everything in Amsterdam. Rather than feeling like a tourist staying in a hotel, we felt like we are staying in our own house. Perfect value for money! Amazing breakfast.

  Het was ontzettend geweldig! Een mooi plekje aan de gracht, meteen aan het Rembrandtsplein en de 9 straatjes bijna om de hoek. Emile en Francisca zijn zeer goede gastheer en vrouw. Koffer vergeten, deze werd dezelfde dag opgestuurd en volgende dag hadden we alles weer keurig thuis. Kamers super schoon met waanzinnige inrichting. Dat was echt genie... wat mensen zeggen » ten, meer dan een 10 waard! We komen zeker nog eens terug.
