You can walk to the cit - An excellent option to stay in Amsterdam for a day or two. Just 10 minutes from the central station. But there are no crowds of tourists. Fresh air and romance. Healthy breakfast, clean cabin, toilet and shower room. Great staff. The girl is always ready to answer any questions of visitors. The hotel is for those who are not afraid of pitching sea.))))   Amsterdam's a walkable city and the Avanti is just right in the Middle of the City a 7 minutes walk from the Central Station! Made life really easy as I could explore and return at anytime without bothering when the tram and the like would close. Dave and Annie are also extremely helpful and nice, showed us the Best places to go to, where to eat, ... wat mensen zeggen » how to move and the like, felt at home. Breakfast added too was great as well as the fridge and microwave so we could get up at anytime and make a qui - Brilliant location, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Food and drink excellent and very reasonably priced. Comfortable, very clean and well looked after.The Avanti was a pleasure to stay on. Our hosts went out of their way to provide help, information and warmth to us, and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. The ship is very well kitted out, and anything you might need has already been thought of, and is easy to access. A lovely place to chill, with a homely atmosph

  Zeer uniek om op een schip te slapen in hartje Amsterdam met zoveel privacy en zo enorm mooi gemaakt van binnen. Uitstekend bed om te slapen, persoonlijk, goed ontbijt, unieke locatie, echt een belevenis. - I stayed in this hotel with my wife. We arrived sooner than planned in Amsterdam and had to leave our baggage in the hotel before the check-i... wat mensen zeggen » n time, but that was absolutely no problem. The room is perfect, clean and spacious, with a great view to the river and equipped with a nice shower, toilet and kitchen. Air conditioning and heating facilities are also available but, luckily, being the weather perfect, we didn't need to use any of them. For breakfast, we were left all the necessary ingredie - Excellent stay. We chose this as it is something different and more fun than an ordinary hotel and it was fabulous. Centrally located (10 mins walk from Centraal) but quiet. The standard of accommodation was excellent. Lovely to sit in the wheel house with a drink in hand looking out over the water. Very friendly and helpful host. Would definitely stay here again.

  Everything was very good. Comfortable rooms, clean and cosy hotel, really not far from railway station. Personal is very friendly, I have only best ratings for their work. - The cleanliness, location & concept. En suite bathroom. Breakfast and the staff. Would definitely come back to Hotelboat Iris.

  I loved the whole idea of staying on a ship. The location was great as well, just a 5-10 minute walk to the Central Station area. The rate included breakfast which was good, I just wish it started a little earlier because we wanted to get out of the city to head home as early as possible. I would absolutely return if I visit Amsterdam again. Note if you're driving - we - The owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The location is great! Only a ten minute walk from Central Station. Lovely breakfast is complimentary, the common area is extremely comfortable and you can sit up on deck and gaze out at the cityscape! Highly recommend Hotelschip Gandalf!!!

  We slept on a boat - what else can I say? :) Very friendly staff (father and daughter), they helped us with all our questions. Of course the rooms are a bit small (and so was the bathroom), but this was to be expected on a boat. We really loved that it was so well located, everything is reachable by foot. And the prices are pretty cheap, even the ... wat mensen zeggen » breakfast was included. There was coffee and tea all day. I would highly recommend it for a special Amsterdam-trip. :) - Fantastic location, very friendly staff, and great value for money. Cheapest room with ensuite in Amsterdam! Nice to be on a houseboat, very relaxing.
