  We stayed at Dar Qamar to break up a return trip to Marrakech from Merzouga, and we wish we had more time to spend here. The hotel is appears to be down some back street, but what a place it is. Behind the walls is a beautiful pool area and gardens with peacocks. The lounge area was comfortable and there was even some Wifi if you need it. Our room... wat mensen zeggen » s were comfortable and the food was excellent. Like many French-run hotels in Morocco you can get wine. - The place is really amazing and beautiful while at first the surroundings and the last 1.5 km might not find your approval (see earlier comments) but this wasn't an issue for us and our stay was very peaceful. A beautiful well maintained garden is surrounding a nice pool area, the amazing patio is inviting to relax, to read, to have a drink.. During our stay the owners (French couple) were absent but the place was well run, good a friendly staff.

Wandering around amongst the vegetables and animals is something we'll never forget. Incredibly friendly owners and staff, with a clear and living commitment to socially responsible business practices. Delightful salt-filtered pool surrounded by great places to sit in the sun and the shade. No traffic noise: none.
