  Chez Youssef was absoluut het beste verblijf dat we in Marokko hebben gehad. De sfeer is erg gemoedelijk en rustig en de inrichting is erg leuk en traditioneel. Alle voorzieningen zijn gewoon goed. De bedden zijn groot en goed, de douche is warm en zowel het diner als het ontbijt zijn prima verzorgd. Youssef is zelf een leuke gastheer die altijd v... wat mensen zeggen » oor je klaar staat en niet te opdringerig is. De zandduinen zijn op loopafstant en ook het overnachten in de woestijn is erg leuk om te doen. - Ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar uissef. Niets was hem teveel. Hij koestert zijn Hotelletje en is er apetrots op. Het is heel " lokaal" gelegen en op loopafstand van de kleine duinen. Je kunt bij hem ook naar een bivak in de duinen per kameel en 4 x4. Hij berekent dan niet de 2 e nacht verblijf. Het ontbijt is heel goed en het avondeten ook. De badkamer is eenvoudig, maar alles funktioneert. Geen alcohol!! Prijs/kwaliteit meer dan goed.

Located at Meknes Medina, just 7 minutes walk from the main square and 3 minutes from medina markets, it has a private car parking just in 100 meters nearby, thus you can come by car and leave it in a safe place. Riad is being run by an Englishman (to whom it might be important), a - The hotel was lovely but very hard to find, we wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for some friendly locals. Food was delicous, the best food we ate while traveling through Morocco. The staff are very friendly and helpful they go out of their way to accommodate you. The locals in the market are all very friendly. The market was amazing the best we had seen in Morocco, a definate must do.

  We loved our stay here, including the night in the desert they arranged for us. The staff was amazing and the family that owns the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming -- Hassan sat on the terrace with us for half an hour just to chat after we arrived. They're also working to preserve the dunes and keep dirtbikes and quads off them. Great people! W... wat mensen zeggen » e also had dinner there (there aren't many options in Merzouga) and the meal was delicious. - The Seggoui family goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and pleasurable. The food is the best I've had in Morocco (and I have been here for 2 months so far). The rooms are very spacious and spotless! If you don't stay here while in Merzouga, you are really missing something very special!

  Though we found the facilities quite basic, this riad delivered what we came for. Ali, the owner, was very available, friendly and responsive to our needs. We wanted to experience desert culture and because of him we did. He took us to a village wedding which happened to be taking place the nite we arrived; he took us on a 4wd trip into the desert... wat mensen zeggen » to visit a family, hear some traditional musicians, and see aspects of the desert we wouldnt have seen without him. The fact that the riad is located - We were very well greeted by Ali and his staff. Ali quickly arranged jeep and dromedary (no camels in Africa) trips for us. The room was nicely decorated, Maroccan style. We had a wonderful evening meal under the tent by the pool and all you can eat breakfast. Above all we got what we came for, to see the desert, visit a different culture and meet friendly people.

  Absolutely massive rooms in a stunning complex built right on the dune line, with bucket loads of character and filled with Moroccan handicrafts. The hotel is a very short drive off the main road and very easily reached in a small sedan. The big draw though is being near to Volubilis. Get there at 09:00 before the buses and offer the guide Dir200 for a personal one hour tour.   Everything was perfect! We booked a room at Chez tonton and got a really big, nice and clean room in berber style. The staff was really friendly! We also booked a trip with a driver around the desert, saw fossiles, an old coal mine, nomads in their tents, had a nice picnic next to the desert under a tree, etc. in the evening we made a camel trip ... wat mensen zeggen » into the dunes and stayed overnight. Our guide cooked us a superb tajine and Berber Khalia and we could watch the stars and enjoy the silence of the - Very friendly owner, very helpfull (he helped us with booking a camel). After diner the owner came to sit with us to have a chat. Nice room, with airco. Very nice breakfast with fresh pancakes.
