  Everything was perfect! We booked a room at Chez tonton and got a really big, nice and clean room in berber style. The staff was really friendly! We also booked a trip with a driver around the desert, saw fossiles, an old coal mine, nomads in their tents, had a nice picnic next to the desert under a tree, etc. in the evening we made a camel trip ... wat mensen zeggen » into the dunes and stayed overnight. Our guide cooked us a superb tajine and Berber Khalia and we could watch the stars and enjoy the silence of the - Very friendly owner, very helpfull (he helped us with booking a camel). After diner the owner came to sit with us to have a chat. Nice room, with airco. Very nice breakfast with fresh pancakes.

Hosts were very accommodating, Mohammed met us at the bus station and helped us with our baggage to hotel, and fed us dinner when we arrived. We were looking to do sandboarding, the hotel helped arrange us a day trip for a reasonable price exactly as we wanted. Breakfast on terrace was really nice.

  Fantastic desert lodging at an affordable price, in a prime location, with delicious food, superb service, and a professional, trustworthy staff that treats you like a member of the family!!! I've stayed at a couple of hotels in this area, and I rate Ksar Mezouga as the greatest value by far, and I’m an avid traveler! The Allah brothers (the class... wat mensen zeggen » iest guys in the region) built this hotel themselves—it opened in 2012—and they take great pride in every detail, from the soothing, authentic Berber - We stayed for three nights, super easy walk to all dunes, good cheap food nearby, pick up at the bus station, really nice hotel on the edge of the dunes. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Seriously....super nice place.

  Auberge La Source is placed just in front of the big erg.Hassan´s family is very nice and the service is perfect. Breakfast and dinner were included and they were always big and very delicious. We stayed there only one night but we have many unforgetable memories - sunset in dessert with cammels and our perfect guide Mohamed (thanks a lot, Moha... wat mensen zeggen » med, it was really a beautiful experience). We can highly recommend this Auberge to other visitors. You will be very happy there. Ivana and Vladimir - La Source is located in the small village of Hassi Labied, a 15min drive from Merzouga and a short walking distance from the Great Dune of Erg Chebbi. The view is wonderful from their terrace. The auberge is clean and welcoming, brothers Omar and Said treated us as real friends and their sisters cooked the best tagines. We would love to go back to La Source and definitely recommend you to choose them.

  Everything about Riad Mamouche was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we came really late by car but we found the hotel easily. Short walk to dunes which you can see from the hotel terrace. Great breakfast and amazing (optional) camel trip with staying overnight in the desert. The owner of the Riad was very friendly and helpful. We gave him a lift to Ris - We had a great time in Riad Mamouche ! Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and food were good. There is a lovely garden at the courtyard. You can have breakfast ( in the sun ) on the roof-terrace overlooking the sand-dunes, the oasis and the camels. In the evening you can enjoy the fabulous stars here. After dinner the staff accompanied us in making music with drums and singing, very amusing.   We spent two nights one night in this stunning kasbah, and one night in Sahara desert, This really felt like a large Moroccan home. The tile and dark woods lent a touch of cultural mystery. Our room was comfortable with a large carved wooden headboard. The tile and copper fittings in the bathroom were over the top.
