  My boyfriend and I booked a two night stay here on a trek through Marrakech. Having never been to the city before we didn't know much about location, ammenities or prices. Fortunately this place is like a diamond in the rough!!! This hotel is located close to the city train hub and in the heart of the "new city". There are many restaurants, bars and shopping right arou - The room was as described and everthing worked as it should. We arrived late, around 10.30pm, and we're told by reception that the restaurants in the area would be closed. Well, we walked outside and on the corner was a very busy simple style fish restaurant. It was really different and threw us straight into the local scene. Great choice of fish at very reasonable prices!   Very pleasant hotel, with impressive atrium seating area, decent pool and clay tennis courts. Essentially it's a sort of French version of a Thompsons hotel. Good breakfast, large room and ideally placed for exploring Marrakech (see guide below). Would certainly recommend Les Idrissides. There are a selection of varying hotel standards to fit your choice but, more importantly, it is centrally connect - The family rooms are fantastic. You could lose yourself in the suite. The rooms were really spaceous, great faccilities, hotel really gets everyone involved with alot of events taking place, pools were great, easy to exchange money. The maids cleaning the room used the towels to create patterns etc on the beds which the kids really loved. They also always left sweets and rose petals on the beds every nice was was great. Breakfast was a fantastic selection, not far from the centre, all taxis
