  This was the 2nd time that we have stayed at The Red House and it was just as good as the first time. Someone from The Red House came to pick us up from the airport and was already waiting for us when we arrived at the airport. This was a great way to start the holiday. The staff are magnificent - very friendly and only too happy to he - We read very positive hotel reviews with some caution as to their truthfulness, but all the very positive comments about The Red House were true. Location just outside the wall provides easy access to the Medina and old city as well as to the new city for shopping and restaurants. An excellent place for staying in Marrakech.   Great location - no dark alleyways to walk down (a considerable number of Riads in Marrakech are located in areas that look dodgy during the day, let alone at night). Refreshing garden / pool area - nice to come back to after the hussle and bussle of the city. Indoor restaurant a nice place to eat - but the menu was uninspiring - chose to eat here... wat mensen zeggen » after all the rave reviews it had received, but cant understand why. Coffee in the afternoon by the pool is very good, but the coffee served at break - palaus donab was a beautiful glamorous peaceful and fragrant haven. Our room was lovely , quiet and private. The breakfasts by the pool with the birds singing were glorious. It was well situated for shops and restaurants and although near the medina was peaceful and safe inside. The staff were courteous and unimposing but bit formal. However they were helpful in finding me an emergency dentist. Thank you and loved the atmosphere.

  No need to look further: just book this riad! I looked for days to find a riad, there where thousands of them, but very pleased with my final choice! We had an amazing stay in this Riad last week. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The staff was extremely heartwearming friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed in this riad after coming from a 3 day trip from the desert, we were exhausted and the staff was great at making us relax and feel comfortable.   This Riad is, simply, perfect! Before we had even arrived the customer service we received was excellent. We stayed here for 4 nights whilst on our honeymoon in Marrakech. The owners, Charlotte & Patrice are extremely friendly and hospitable, as are Abdul, Ahmed and the rest of the team.   Truly amazing--a real gem!! Our riad experience in Janurary of this year was good....but in no way compares to the fabulous March surprise that awaited us at Dar Akal! This riad is luxurious & comfortable in a perfect location to explore the wonders of Marrakech...the ambience is magnificent! Brahim, the property manager, is the most amazing host & the cook/chef Nezha perpares a most delicious breakfast feast...every morning new su - I so enjoyed my time at this sublime riad, and am already planning a return trip. It is newly restored, tastefully decorated and an oasis of calm and welcome in the city. The small plunge pool on the roof makes all the difference on a hot day. The staff are lovely, the place is excellent value for money. Breakfast is always a little different and is great. I felt right at home. Just lovely.
