The location is very good. Easy to reach from the station. The staff was very helpful for hints and tips on eating places, transportation and places to visit. The value for the price was excellent. The place was quiet. The Japanese style should be appealing for western visitors interested to experience a bit the traditions of Japan.
Extremely friendly, talkative and helpful owners (what's not so popular in this country). That's why this hotel is really worth visiting!
What's more unique atmospere of Japan style hotel near to the main train statnion and metro.alle beoordelingen »
Everything! I really recomand this Ryokan. The oners are very helpfull and nice! They make you feel wellcomed.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Very close to Kyoto station.
Good for short time, staff is really friendly, English is enough to
understand each other.
The room was clean. There's a washing machine and dryer in the
lobby. That's it.
Close to subway, very convenient. The owner is nice, Room is clean and tidy.
Very traditional.
Excellent location.
Excellent price.
The location very close to Kyoto Station.
Made pals with some of the hostel peeps staying in the bunk room and we
had a nice night out on the town in the gion district. Wifi worked. You
could have coffee and toast for 200 yey ($2).
Good location near to Kyoto Station with convenient Family Mart convenience store right across the road.
The only thing was that it was close to the Shinkansen station.
its close to Kyoto station and bus going to kix airport.
near the train station.
The lack of curtains and the semi-translucient window panes left a fair amount of light from the 24-hour open convenience store opposite the hostel. I used a sleeping mask.
Nothing, everithing was great!.
Internet service was intermittent at best. The building itself is quite old and fairly run down. The rooms were not very clean. The bathroom was pretty gross, fan did not work, SUPER loud toilet that woke up my infant daughter all the time. Walls are quite thin and noise from the streets is loud. No blinds on the windows so the room got light VERY early.
Not so clean.
Noisy, noisy, noisy. My room had double windows with a sign that said
something like "double windows to keep the noise out" but they
do nothing of the sort. My room faced the street and I was a bit
miserable from the noise. Thankfully, I stayed there only one night and
that's because I could not extend my stay (at the last minute) in
the first hotel in Kyoto I was staying at as they were full.
Very cramped.
Close proximity to other guests and can hear their business.
Some of the staffs cannot speak English very well. Sometimes it's
hard to communicate or to get information.
Place was not the cleanest and was in the middle of nowhere more or
less. Dryer did not dry clothes after 600 yen (6x) or ($6), and
innkeeper insisted dryer was not supposed to dry clothes, just to tumble
the clothes japanese style. So what do you do with 8 lbs of once fetid
laundry, now washed, but which you cannot dry? French couple also
flabbergasted by this enigma. A go figure for sure.
Rather cramped space with very basic facilities. Beddings appear not to be thoroughly washed.
The place is basically a dump. No maintenance, leaking sink, water doesn't run away, worn bedding and towels, etc.
small. elevator is scary. no lights on hallways.
The room space was smaller then what was stated. The room is even
smaller than the White House Kyoto, which state as 9 sqm.
everything was so sucks and dirty.
We arrived in Kyoto after 15 hours of travel as we got at the hotel, the owner asked the monney immediately, flapping his hands on the table.
The room we got was different from the photos published on internet. It was very vary small. When we opened our 2 beds there was no way to open the bathroom's door. It was really dirty and several insects and fleas shared the room with us.
