The breakfasts were fantastic with wide variety of food, staff behind the desk friendly and helpful, cleaning staff friendly, rooms spotlessly cleaned and made everyday, close to train. Trieste is quite small so nothing really too far. I paid the same per night in Rome, Hotel Altavilla, and comparing Hotel Milano to there is like a 5 ... wat mensen zeggen » to a 1 star. If i ever return to trieste, without any doubt i will book in at Hotel Milano. - Surprisingly very Comfortable rooms, although lobby and buulding itself seemed to be rather old and little untidy. Not luxury but very good hotel with helpful staff.

  The staff were excellent, very friendly. They were happy to call up a restaurant for me and book a table. I also heard them calling an airline office for another guest to change their flights.   The hosts were wonderful--very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Building and facilities were beautiful and charming. Room was basic but extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The included breakfast was fabulous. We also ate supper at the restaurant. The food was average but the service, price and convenience of it was exceptional. It ... wat mensen zeggen » was also the perfect location for us as it was between two of our main destinations, Trieste and the Skocjan caves. Would definitely stay there again - To say that the owners/operators of this hotel were kind, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, considerate, and a joy to be around would be an understatement. They were absolutely wonderful and went well out of their way to assure our time there surpassed all our expectations. I am in love with the Banne area, and the warm feelings come mostly from staying at this B&B.
