  -True Venice experience! The hotel is located on one of the small canals, so finding the hotel was an adventour in itself. Its entrance is located on a small side street and you walk through the ground floor of the building (past the canal boat entrance) to get to the rooms. It felt like we were staying in a Venice residence instead of a hotel.... wat mensen zeggen » - Friendly, helpful staff - Great location - few minutes away from the main tourist areas, but far enough so that it was very quite - Room was lovel - Locanda Ca Del Console is in a very good location between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. It isn't easy to find, but use the directions on the website along with a map and you'll figure it out eventually. The staff is very friendly, which is a big plus. We made the reservation at the last minute so we didn't have many choices. The room was big. The decor was a little strange. The breakfast was fine. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? That was the biggest plus.

  Na ontvangst bleek dat er in het grotere hotel waar Domus Cavanis bij hoort kamers over waren dus konden we voor hetzelfde geld in het 3* Belle Arte hotel verblijven. De kamers waren prachtig en de service goed. Echt een aanrader! - We mochten verblijven in het hoofdhotel.   We loved that it was so easy to get to and from the Realto Bridge for arrivals and departures and for additional day trips... It was wonderful to be able to walk to and fro to San Marco's Square and despite the close proximity, the price was very reasonable. The hotel was spotless and breakfast plenty and delicious. They provided locked up baggage servic - The staff could not do enough for us and treated us like silk worms. Nothing was a problem. Directions, hints, tips and must see all explained thoroughly. I was nervous about getting from the airport on our own, but the directions were very clear and the hotel easy to find. The location was perfect between the Rialto and St Marco square-we couldn't have picked better! Very impressed with how friendly the staff are and how welcomed we felt.   The location was great only a short walk from the pizzale Roma where we got the bus to and from the airport. Also just a short walk into the main attractions grand canal, st marks square.   Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

Trip will take 20 minutes and than you will have to walk for 15 minutes (or make an appointment with the hotel for a free shuttle service! The walk is nice so we didn't use this service). - Don't expect luxury, just a place to sleep!
