  We liked everything! The staff, room, location and view were top of the line! I fell in love with the tablecloths and asked if I could buy one ----------The receptionist GAVE it to us - with napkins as a gift! A real surprise from this "treasure in the valley". If we return to Sulmona we will definitely stay there - my husband's birthplace. -... wat mensen zeggen » We got a superior room with spa access, literally to ourselves. The spa, sauna and pool were very good, likewise the food and wine. We enjoyed so much and will revisit when coming round this area again.

  Il Marchese del Grillo was a delightful place to stay whilst in Sulmona. Marta - the owner, was most helpful with information on places to visit both in Sulmona, and the surrounding area. The breakfast was fantastic with a whole array of cakes, cheeses, meats, fruits, etc, and the staff always asked if we wanted any egg dishes which they made fres... wat mensen zeggen » hly. We ate on the rooftop each morning, and had stunning views of the beautiful city of Sulmona. Monica deserves a special mention - she was so warm - The rooms were amazing , spacious with excellent linen and bedding. Very quiet location with free parking nearby. Also free WiFi onsite. The owners were extremely hospitable with excellent local knowledge and maps available for interesting day trips. Breakfast was a daily Gourmet Feast with large selection of local produce, Crostina, organic eggs and local meats and cheeses. A really superb Italian B and B experience which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

  Town centre position so everything close by. Young staff member had excellent English and gave us a recommendation to a fantastic restaurant nearby for lunch, calling to check they had a table for us. She also went out of her way to ensure we had a quick breakfast before a 6 am departure. Room spotless and comfortable. Parking very close.

  The location was excellent - very private and quiet, yet close to Corso Ovidio with its shopping and cafes. The accommodation itself was lovely.   Amazing palazzo full of character in historical centre of Sulmona. exceptionally clean. The breakfast was perfect: fresh fruit, home-made cakes, local cheeses, pancakes with chocolate specially cooked for you, eggs, bacon, tea, coffee. Anything you like. Picturesque little town full of history and ancient monuments and buildings. Very nice restaurants around with home-made p - Maybe the best place in Abruzzo ? Just in the center, at the piazza in Sulmona. Could not be better place. The staff were absolutely outstanding. They were personal to all guests, so we felt as kings ! Help us with parking, trips, maps, history and much more. Asking every morning, where we were going, and thn we got there personale tips. The breakfast was outstanding. We got scramble eggs, ham, pancakes, cakes , fresh fruit and- what ever you like ! They even gave us at fantastiv surprise break
