We had an early morning departure flight and were so pleased that our driver, arranged by the staff, was ready at 4:30 AM.   We loved it here. The town of Nicolosi is welcoming and friendly, as is the B&B, really a small apartment. Shop at the butcher for some good Scicilan meat and sausages and pick up some fresh vegetables and wine from a barrel, at a friendly vendor and go back to the B&B to cook in the little kitchen.   The place is awesome and the little houses really nice. In the midle of "nowhere" is a fantastic place where to stay and relax. It'a a pity we did not have the chance to stay a bit more time to do a barbeque in that wonderful environment. Breakfast is ok: coffee, milk, pineapple juice (not fresh), a homemade cake and bread. We spent just 1 night and it's a bit far from the way -we were doing a trip around Sicily- (a - Turned out that renting an apartment at Case Don Ignazio in southern Sicily was an excellent idea. Located at the top of the hill, surrounded by lime and orange orchards, and olives groves at the downhills, with spectacular view over Ionian see on the left and baroque beauty Rosolini on the right. Ispica is interesting for the cava d'Isp - Very eclectic and modern design, the room was very comfortable with lots of storage space and high end shower and bath soaps. The location is rural and very peaceful, the grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was a delicious mix of local dishes and fresh fruit. The lady in charge was very graceful and helpful. I would describe the Balarte as the Gugenheim in the middle on the Scicilian countryside !

Menfi and the wine region is nearby, the beach and Selinunte but a short drive - We enjoyed our stay here very much: the infrastructure is a recent renovation with qualitative material. The rooms are nice and very clean and designed functionally. The accomodation is managed by 4 women (Barbara, Katia, Margherita and Mima) who are doing this with great passion. Also the kitchen is very good. A lovely quiet place to stay and start from here the discovery of the west coast of Sicily.
