  Fabulous room on two levels with a view over the ocean; great minimalist decor. The lounge was a wonderful place to watch the sun set over the ocean... although drinks buffet a bit pricey (good food though).   The owners of the hotel were very helpful, and the hotel was exactly what we wanted - beautiful location on the sea front, quiet, easy to park, but close enough for a stroll to a number of good restaurants. Room was clean and comfy, air conditioning quiet and effective, and with a marvellous sea view. Breakfast on the sea terrace was simple but... wat mensen zeggen » very tasty. We would be happy to return there. - it was the best hotel in Sicily I have visit. Owner of the hotel is wery nice man, great thanks for him. the place of the hotel is wery good - near the Taormina and Etna mount. See view is amazing. Dinner was wery delicious.   The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. The pool is really big and kept clean and kids have plenty of room to wander about and play. We had a quadruple room which was quite spacious and very clean with quite comfortable beds. The parking spaces are numbered matching the room number so each guest has his own parkin - What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

  The staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic. We had a small problem with a key, and they were eager to sort it out very quickly. The rooms are airy and comfortable (we stayed in 2 different ones on separate nights), and we were given a quiet one at the back when we asked for one. All in all, a very good place to stay, especially as it is w - Very central, 2 mins away from piazza Duomo and Via Etnea and 5 mins away from the market. Less than 10 mins from the port. It has a private parking shared with the rest of the gated community which seemed to be safe. The guesthouse has a lift as well and it was very good considering the cheap price we payed. Wifi was also available, italian breakfast in room and with a balcony for the street view. Very worth it if you're not looking for luxury but the basics you need

  Everything about our stay was ideal and perfect. We absolutely loved the hospitality that Guido and Ada provided, as well as their entire team. The beautifully decorated rooms in such a stunning setting, together with incredible food and wine, plus all the special little touches (such as fresh flowers in the room and even a chocolate bunny on East... wat mensen zeggen » er!) were done in such great taste and thoughtfulness. The fruit and vegetables grown on site were amazing to enjoy for breakfast (especially the fres - The attention to detail was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The country setting was lovely. The only problems we had were returning at the end of a days outing in the car as the GPS did not pick up all the small roads. A very detailed map is important to have. As well there are one way streets in the nearby towns so you don't always follow the same routes leaving the hotel and returning to it.

  The room was large, pleasant and tastefully decorated. Everything worked, the room was clean and airy. The bed was comfortable. Staff in reception were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty - lots of sweet stuff, but that's Sicily for you! Walking distance (15 min) to the old part of Siracusa (Ortigia). Quiet and big comfortable rooms, everything looked quite new. Good breakfast.

  De eigenaresse van het verbijf is zeer vriendelijk en servicegericht. Toen onze koffers anderhalve dag te laat aankwamen door Alitalia heeft ze ons heel goed gehopen zodat we onze vakantie goed konden starten. Tevens spreekt zij vloeiend engels. De omgeving van het hotel en het hotel zelf is prachtig en je geniet van de privacy. Het strand is zeer ... wat mensen zeggen » dichtbij. Wij gaan zeker weer terug. - Alleen al de ontvangst was hartverwarmend! De kinderen vonden het er heerlijk, ze mochten sinasappels en citroenen plukken! We gaan hopelijk weer terug ooit!

We stayed there for 7 nights and can thoroughly recommend it. Nothing is too much trouble.The hotel, situated a short walk from the town centre and close to the cable cars to the beach, has an excellent - Perfect location - Hotel is in a central location in the heart of Taormina, opposite to the bus terminal which makes it very easy to go to other places in Sicily. Excellent hospitality - Mauro, the hotel owner, has given us a very warm welcome, and he is very helpful and friendly. He makes his best to ensure a perfect vacation.   Nice hotel. We had an amazing view. It's old, it's Italian, don't have the highest expectations. AC didn't get cool in our room, but it's was around 75F so not too bad. Parking is really minimal. I drive and SUV, parked it on the ramp and left the keys. The hotel staff moved around the vehicle and parked it.
