We had dinner there and it was one of our best meals in two weeks. - a beautiful hotel with some wonderful antique pieces in a fresh and spacious interior.the staff were very helpful and provided us with dinner although we arrived after serving time.lovely gardens.

  Perfecte locatie midden in Matera, erg gastvrij en goed ontbijt. - Our hosts, Aldo and Rosa, made our stay in Matera memorable for all the right reasons. From Aldo's kind greeting, complete explanation of all the facilities and help to find the secure parking for our car (he even accompanied me to it, organised a cheap special rate for our 2 days... wat mensen zeggen » , and then walked back to the B&B with me - 10 minutes walk) to Rosa's breakfasts and her kind attention to detail. The room had a super balcony overlooking the Sassi, cathedral and a busy street with plenty of lif - We loved everything about this place. The apartment itself was spacious and clean; the balcony, looking out over the sassi and the Duomo, was fabulous and perfect for an afternoon aperitivo. The cafe/bar downstairs was great and run by a friendly woman. Best of all were Aldo and Rosa... the best hosts ever!   Magic. One of those experiences that should be on a "at least once in your lifetime" list. The atmosphere and the comfort that has been created while maintaining the rough patina of caves is amazing - to the last detail. We regretted that we had only booked one night. The staff helped us to make the most out of the short stay. The loc - Staying at Sextantio Le Grotte Della Civita was an amazing experience. The location, in Matera amongst the 'sassi', was spell binding and the luxurious accommodation blended with the location very well. I would describe the accommodation as rustic embellished with luxurious touches - from the designer bath to the amazing breakfast! It says a lot that when we arrived and saw the place we immediately wanted to extend our stay! A big thank you to the helpful, interested staff.

  Nieuw goed verzorgd onderkomen - Our stay was part of a trip that started with taking a ferry from Vlora, Albania to Brindisi, Italy and we then drove to Taverna Centomani. The ship left very late and so we did not arrive until 1:00 am. Our GPS was not very accurate and we called Maria. She drove to where we were and showed us the way. In the 3 places we stayed in Italy (the others were in Pompei and Florence) the children and my wife and I all thought that this was the - careful room decoration with interesting details (we had a wooden woolen sheep of lifesize in our room!) - real homemade breakfast - each room has access to the garden - we enjoyed a very good dinner in the restaurant "Gaze bo" on the opposite hill - Potenza in reach

  Fantastic hosts Nick and Guisy looked after us so well! I cannot fault this place, just excellent! They went out of their way to make sure we saw the best of Matera, dropping and collecting us from the Sassi at anytime. Very clean room and bathroom which was nice and spacious.
