  I first visited Positano 2 years ago. The location of the Savoia is perfect. The family that runs the hotel, and in particular Claudia, are wonderful and very knowledgeable. One truly gets a feel for the region when staying at the Savoia. The breakfast is plentiful and the variety is excellent. The hotel is close to the center, so it's easy to get... wat mensen zeggen » to the beach for sunbathing, shopping or taking the ferry. The local bus stops almost directly in front of the hotel. This will be my hotel of choice - The hotel was nicely located and easy to get to by cab. You were able to get dropped off right in front of the hotel by car. If you come by boat, you would need to take the steep walk up to the hotel, though porters are readily available to take your luggage. The staff was very helpful and even called our next hotel for us to ask a few questions. The room was clean and nicely decorated and we had a partial view of the water.   Everything, the room was excellent with a large veranda and excellent views. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, we will be going back in the future. - I loved the hotel and the view is stunning! We even received a personal welcome greeting with a bottle of champagne!

  I can't say enough about how nice and accommodating the owners of this hotel were. It is a family run hotel which in turn treats all their guests like family. The rooms were clean and roomy with wonderful views. It was nice to come back to a room which I could turn on the air conditioning. The restaurant next door, which is run by another family member, was one of the best meals I had throughout our Positan - Julianna and her family were so gracious and made us feel like family.
