Staff very polite and friendly, great attention to detail. Fantastic food and wine choice in the restaurant, ended up having all our meals there (a first!).   I first visited Positano 2 years ago. The location of the Savoia is perfect. The family that runs the hotel, and in particular Claudia, are wonderful and very knowledgeable. One truly gets a feel for the region when staying at the Savoia. The breakfast is plentiful and the variety is excellent. The hotel is close to the center, so it's easy to get... wat mensen zeggen » to the beach for sunbathing, shopping or taking the ferry. The local bus stops almost directly in front of the hotel. This will be my hotel of choice - The hotel was nicely located and easy to get to by cab. You were able to get dropped off right in front of the hotel by car. If you come by boat, you would need to take the steep walk up to the hotel, though porters are readily available to take your luggage. The staff was very helpful and even called our next hotel for us to ask a few questions. The room was clean and nicely decorated and we had a partial view of the water.   I loved everything about this apartment. I was skeptical at first about the area and price. After me and my friends arrived we soon realized we would never want to leave! Our apartment was a 6 person apartment on the first floor. We could leave the doors open at night and hear the sea while we fell asleep.   The staff was extremely attentive and caring. They brought us fresh homemade breakfast each morning. My favorite was the blood orange juice and the powdered sugar crescent. The one guy who handled the pool area/bar, luggage to you room, etc, was outstanding. The location is perfect & just a short walk from the beach & shopping & restaurants ... In short.... Total value for money...& I'm definitely staying at the Marincanto next time I'm in Positano..!

In het hotel hebben wij de eerste avond gegeten en ook dat was heerlijk met een fantastisch overzicht over de baai van Positano. Houd er rekening mee dat de auto altijd betaald geparkeerd moet worden omdat Positano simpelweg geen plek heeft voor auto's. The value for the money was much better than the restaurant in Positano that we tried. The service at the hotel provided by Felix and his staff was excellent.
