  A simple door in a wall on a old town street hides a beautifully designed 'vertical' B&B. If you are not afraid of walking and climbing dozens of steep stairs then Nonna Jole is a great choice for staying in the old section of Lecce. The rooms are carefully European designed with good sized bedroom, neat little kitchen area and elegant (smal... wat mensen zeggen » l shower) bathroom. The owner (I think) helped us from the parking area and recommended a good local restaurant. Breakfasts were typical Italian, qu - The apartment is located right in the heart of the historic centre, close to the Duomo. It's a great street with lots of cafes and restaurants. The apartment itself was great. We had frontage straight onto the street so it was intersting to see the street life going on right outside. It has been tastefully renovated and was really spacious for two people, with a large separate living area from the bed. Everything was clean and in good working order.   vriendelijke eigenaar grote bedden ontbijt - First the B&B : prime location to discover Lecce (1 min from Santa Croce), good breakfast, and most of all a perfectly designed apartment that made us feel at home instantly : everything clicked (furniture, carpets, the burgundy walls with the arched ceiling in the sleeping room), with a special me... wat mensen zeggen » ntion for the private patio with the mosaic table and the overhanging jasmine. Michelangelo himself went far beyond what we could expect from him - arranging the parking, guides for Lecce tourism, - Michelangelo was so kind to us. Best service ever! The B&B was in a great location, he helped us find parking and we had a free audio guide of the city. He even offered to take us to an underground tour of the city. Breakfast was at a nearby restaurant. We would definitely recommend this B&B and return again!
