  The Amalfi hotel is situated within walking distance of the main railway station and is great for making it an easy two stop holiday which is what we did. It is also within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore Church is just across the road. The staff are very friendly and helpful, giving out maps and marking all the places of interest o - My favourite thing about Amalfi by far was the absolutely lovely and wonderful lady who runs the breakfast buffet. She obviously takes so much pride in her work and is so friendly, bubbly and full of energy every morning. She goes to extra lengths to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated and gives a veritable tour of the buffet when the guests come in! What a lovely lady, thank you so much.

  I do read reviews, but unlike most people,I dont moan about silly things. This hotel I have nothing bad to say about it, its all good. Great location, (just round corner from main metro) We walked to closest attraction (Colloseum) and each other attraction including the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and two others I cant remember names of were all with... wat mensen zeggen » ing 10 to 15 min walk. We took a bus which cost us 1.5 euros each to the Vatican. as this is about 25 min drive away. Hotel rooms were spotless as was - Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was able arrange an extra nights stay after we missed our flight at short notice. Room was good size for 3 adults. The Hotel was close to the central station and easy to find, even with the hotel that close it was not affected by any noise. There are plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets adjacent to the hotel offering a varied choice and at good prices. Will stay there again.

  Excellently placed. Just round the corner from the Central bus and metro stations. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and are more than willing to help with arranging trips, taxis etc. Should have remembered to have a mid day siesta, walking around a city is exhausting. Everything stays open late anyway. Would definitely recommend doing ... wat mensen zeggen » a food tour. - like...pretty much most of it. From the breakfasts and the lovely staff up on the 5th floor we really liked it. Great location (we walked to all of Rome's attractions) and nice place to sleep. The front desk staff suggested some really nice local 'roman' places to eat at..they were really good
