The location near Academia Bridge and the water bus also affords access to the quieter Dorsodoru quarter where we ate in the evening.   The Pisani is an amazing hotel of old world charm and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful furniture and surroundings made for the perfect stay. It was a perfect place to sit and sip Prosecco while watching the tourists drift by on their Gondolas. In Venice, you don't always get what you pay for, but Palazzo Giglio delivers with luxury service - We loved everything about this beautiful hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was nicely presented and the location was just a few minutes walk to St Marks Square and only a couple of minutes from the Vaporetta.

  The staff were fantastic. Both young women were friendly, courteous and helpful. When we mixed our dates up and blythely overstayed, they worked out a way to accommodate us in their fully-booked hostel. The location is terrific. We were in Venice for the Biennale and walked to all the Pavilions from the hostel. We discovered it was quicker to walk... wat mensen zeggen » than take a vaperetto to the Giardini and Arsenale. We also enjoyed the very social gatherings around the breakfast table with women from all corners - The space is nice to be in. I liked the old building itself with marble floors, high ceilings, big breakfast room and nice living room where guest can sit and talk, it adds to the feel of the city. It was incredibly clean during all the 5 days that I stayed. The staff is very friendly. The location is central. It's a women only place, so if you are not looking for a mixed noisy crowed it is perfect.
