We stayed in the Presidential suite, so our frame for description starts
out pretty positive! First off, the location was perfect. From the
Piazza del Gesu you can walk everywhere on your tourist map. The only
time we cabbed was to go back and forth to the Vatican. The service was
excellent. We had some difficulty with the guy at the desk and no
English, but it just added to the charm of knowing you were in Italy.
The breakfast was enormous and catered to gluten free (as does everyone
in Rome)

This is a perfect place to stay for your trip to Rome.
The location is perfect - 3 mins to the Forum, 15 mins walking from Termini railway staitaion, etc.. We used the metro just once, to get to Vatican.
It is a nice, small family owned place. There are just 4 rooms there.

This little place is gorgeous, well located in a quiet little street
near via Cavour with an excellent restaurant across the street. I was
met by a gorgeous man, Leone, who despite my late arrival was really
nice. The only criticism was that the promised breakfast was really bad,
so don't depend on it. The area is well serviced by other bars etc,
so eat breakfast out. Just make sure you avoid Gran Caffe Cavour, in via
Cavour, as a coffee there will set you back more than 6.60euro!!!!

+ Perfect location for exploring Rome. Right next to the guest-house is the Roman Forum, several great basilicas, Colosseo is 5 minutes walk away, etc. etc.
+ The rooms are spacious and very well-furnished. The quality you'd expect to find in a 3-4 star hotel rather than in a guest-house.
+ There is a kitchen with a stove & fridge. Really nice :)
Coffee-machine makes nice coffee and hot chocolate 50c a cup (as of September 2013).

Look no further than the Colosseoin. It is in a fantastic location with a view from the window onto the main street where there is always something happening. Shut the windows and there is absolute quiet for sleeping.
