  excellent location, near 2 main squares. at the Duomo square you can find 2 types of touristic buses - the standard citysightseeing and the other one cheaper 5 euro (1hour trip without stop). you also can find all main streets having begin at the square Duomo. the landlord is a very friendly woman, she helped me to book an excursion to Etna (must ... wat mensen zeggen » see! half day was enough for mee; "without jeep" is not very tiring). the breakfast is served in a cafe neighbour to the appartment (croissant\briosh - This BB has a central location [2 min from Piazza Duomo], really close to public transportation [Piazza Alcala] and via Etnea [wich is one of the main streets in Catania]. The BB is clean and comfy. The owners, Giovanni and his mother [who lives next door] are nice people. The palazzo in which the BB is located it's a bit noisy, but this is Sicilly. Overall, I was pleased with the place and I recomend it.

  The staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic. We had a small problem with a key, and they were eager to sort it out very quickly. The rooms are airy and comfortable (we stayed in 2 different ones on separate nights), and we were given a quiet one at the back when we asked for one. As we had to leave early for the airport, we were given the ... wat mensen zeggen » makings of a breakfast the night before, and coffee was always available from a machine. All in all, a very good place to stay, especially as it is w - Very central, 2 mins away from piazza Duomo and Via Etnea and 5 mins away from the market. Less than 10 mins from the port. It has a private parking shared with the rest of the gated community which seemed to be safe. The guesthouse has a lift as well and it was very good considering the cheap price we payed. Wifi was also available, italian breakfast in room and with a balcony for the street view. Very worth it if you're not looking for luxury but the basics you need

  If I could give 11 out of 10, I would. This is the cleanest and friendliest hostel I have ever stayed in--and to be honest I've stayed in 3-hotels which weren't as nice (and 4-star hotels where I was unable to sleep because the bed was so uncomfortable!!!). The beds are amazing. The rooms are brand new!! The 8-person bunk rooms have a lovely view ... wat mensen zeggen » of the courtyard. In the evening there was music and people talking until the wee hours of the night. You even get a 2 for 1 drink card so you can soc - This place is magical. The staff are incredible. They took Matteo (my Palermitano cat) into their arms. I met so many wonderful individuals here, I only have Agora' 2 thanks 4 that unique opportunity & already look foward to returning in October. I could go on and on about the city as well. Such acts of kindness I have rarely experienced anywhere else during all my years of travel.   As soon as you get into the hotel you will feel like home!with a lot of privacy. You don't rent just a room but the entire structure. Nice and curate spaces, with style and design. Front desk always helpfull, gives you a lot of tips of where to go and to do in Catania and surroundings. The stucture is located just few steps from the city centre. However, the staff will help you with taking the luggage up and down the stairs. The hotel is situated in a little seedy area near the fish market. However, once you walk pass these 1-2 blocks, you are at the Elephant fountain and the Duomo so the location to the sights is great. There are lots of good seafood restaurants nearby.

  Familia!!! Before we even arrived at the Hotel Trieste I was in contact with the wonderful couple that owned the hotel. My family's time was limited, unfortunately to only 1 night in Catania. We wanted to go to Mount Etna; see some of the city, and enjoy the food. Hotel Trieste helped organize all of my plans. We were met at the train by a wonderf... wat mensen zeggen » ul guide (Lemontour) who, already prearranged a luggage drop off at the hotel; and off we went to Etna. Simple wonderful!!! We got back to the hotel i - The hotel is very clean. The rooms are big. Our room hadd a belcony. We were very surprissed t get tthat quality for the money. The locatio is great, close to everything you wantt to see and busses you need to take. most importantly, it is ran by a young family. I bbegan communication with them even before our arrival. They were great to help us with excursions, directions, etc. We felt veery welcomed and at home. If ever in Catania again, that would be no doubt for us a place to stay.

  Very central, room was fine with a great old ceiling, choice of breakfast in the B&B or in the bar just down the road: we chose the bar for the fun of it! The lift is a typical old Italian lift with small benches upholstered in red velvet to take up two floors in style ;-) - Simple, clean,unfussy accommodation close to the sights of Catania. ... wat mensen zeggen » Pinella is friendly and helpful with very good recommendations. Breakfast in the bar next door was a good experience and the lift has to be experienced too.

  The staff was very friendly and efficient and the place was very clean. The location was very good and central to all the main sites in Catania.   Great location in the city, near to the Cathedral, the shopping street and lots of good places to eat. Not far from the bus to the airport but the taxi is only 20 Euro and is just a 15 minute ride (bus #437 will take you to and from a stop near the Duomo but then about another 10 min. Walk). After 11 pm, totally quiet. Safe and secure - What we like the most was the excellent customer service provided by Giuseppe. He was willing to help and always with a smile. He gave us recommendations of Catania. The room was just excellent, very comfortable. The breakfast so good and the location close to the tourist information office, The Duomo, Via Etna and most of the interesting places in town. Bravo Giuseppe !!!!!
