Loved the pool, spa and private terrace large enough to practice yoga on. Really liked the convenience of spending the day away, following a good breakfast.   We loved the location of this hidden gem! It is located in Forio, near the top of the mountain. We were nervous at first because the cab driver just kept saying "oh too far, very hard". We soon found that he meant to drive his cab to the hotel ( lots of winding narrow roads, took about 45 minutes). But we got to our destination and couldn't have b... wat mensen zeggen » een happier. It is run by a family. The dad was a builder and the mom a decorator. The daughter speaks the most English and the whole family was extre - We have chosen this hotel for our honeymoon in August 2013 from huge list of hotels on Ischia and as soon as we arrived we were SO glad of our choise. The hotel staff is very helpful and nice, the location is perfect - it's very quiet, but you can reach all the places and sights that you need (they have a free transfer to city and to the beach). Renting a car is a very good solution, but we didn't rent cause we were afraid of tricky roads on island. The breakfast is nice, but there aren't much

We stayed only for 2 nights but we had the chance to take part to a traditional Ischian evening - a very relaxing and happy atmosphere. Free shuttle bus to the beach. Transfer to the ferry very early in the morning - not expensive.   Well situated, a lovely 15 min walk into town. Beach 8 mins down the hill. Clean, simple, effective. We hired a car (40E pd) to explore the island. Perfect size to do that. - Friendly and helpful reception staff, handy for beach and town by foot - albeit a 20 minute walk is good for us.

  Pera di Basso ligt op een waanzinnig mooie plek op Ischia, hoog in de bergen. Het is een klein paradijsje. De eigenaars Mario en Anita zijn zeer gastvrij, zorgen elke dag voor vers ontbijt en avondeten en hebben veel goede tips over het eiland. Ook voor onze kleine baby werd elke dag vers gekookt. We vonden het waanzinnig en zouden zo teruggaan. To begin, our trip from the ferry to the argriturismo was an adventure: the extremely narrow street, the forest and vineyards were so picturesque. The setting was majestic, overlooking the sea, graciously decorated with flowers, gardens, a pool, lounge chairs: all an invitation to relax and slow down. Owner Mario and Anita were so very welcoming, speaking only a little English, but so eager to make our stay perfect, which they did. We - Beautifully restored old farm. Friendly, family run, good food from their own gardens, fabulous views, peaceful rural location.

Almost all food is naturally sourced from the local farm. We would highly recommend Punta Chiarito as a place to stay and will make every effort to return again.
