We were given the keys to a great room with a balcony facing the mountain topped by the beautiful Monte Cassino Abbey. We asked for a hotel with a view of the monastery on MonteCassino. Our window looked directly up to the monastery; it was an all-pervading presence in the town. Our host, Pino, was attentive to our every need and helpfully accommodated our less rational requests and fears of the road up the mountain.   The staff could not have been more helpful or obliging. We had a lovely room with a view to Montecassino monastery. The breakfast was more than ample and the food in the attached restaurant was very good. - All of the staff were great and the breakfast had a wide selection and was great.
