The train station is maybe a 10-15 minute walk, add another 15 minutes from there to Florence Cathedral.

But I should say the the photo you see here doesn't tell the real quality of this B&B which is beyond my expectations.   I booked a double room for just 2 pax initially but one day before arrival 2 more friends decided to join us. Luckily our room has two sofa beds, so able to accommodate 4 of us. Stayed there for just one night, we checked in late as our train was delayed. It’s a pity that we only had a very short stay in Florence, it will be nice if we are able to stay few more nights in Novella House. Will - Novella House is renovated 1800s apartment house with original frescos on the ceilings. It is impossible to roll your luggage into the hotel but fortunately the owner took our bags up into the room (there is a small lift). Our room was spacious with a decent bed; there was a sitting area for tea and coffee, but the bathroom was so tiny, it had a foldaway shower. The room itself is quiet but outside the window you have the typical Italian street noise, maybe more so as there is a boarding house
