Was really impressed with this hotel.Room was great, bar was great (welcoming & comfortable),staff first class.Asked them to order a taxi into Dublin & we were told about the bus for 1/10 of the cost, where the bus stops were & our notes changed into coins. All without asking.Breakfast was superb.Place spick & span & tastefully done out. Hotel separated from the pub via an electronic key issued to guests,so very secure. Our room was @ the front, but not noisy. We only went to Swor. alle beoordelingen »
The accommodations were excellent. The rooms are small but well outfitted so we had everything we needed. The restaurant & bar had a nice selection and the service was good. We had two problems: our room was directly above the area used for smokers from the bar so the smoke was very heavy even with windows closed; the heat was blasting and drunken revelers ran up and down the hallway until 4:30 in the morning and we had no way to access management for assistance. All leave when the bar clos.
Smart looking-large twin bedroom and bath. Clean design and use of space made room seem very large-bathroom good size superb shower with sliding glass door. We enjoyed being in a village on a leafy street. Airport easy access by local Dublin Bus, easy access from O'Connell Street too. Bar clean with good choice menu-try the warm brie salad and profiterole cake.
The staff where very helpful with our luggage even with us arriving
earlier than the check in time, the bar and food was very impressive..
Great last day in Ireland. The hotel and bar is very deceiving from the
outside and we really enjoyed our stay, value for money and would really
recommend it.
A beautiful and very comfortable hotel. The bedroom was immaculate. The location was ideal. Shopping locally is excellent. Really good value for money. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. We had an all round excellent stay at Forty Four Hotel and Swords is a lovely town. Brilliant.
Loved this hotel and will stay there again when I need to fly out of Dublin. Great price for the room. No hotel shuttle, but a cab is 12 euro and the staff, facilities, and main st location make it worth it. Much better than being stuck in an airport hotel.
As I had an early morning flight I didn't get to enjoy the hotel as much as I think I would , upon getting there the staff were very helpful , the Restuarant was great and in general one of the best hotels for the price that I have stayed in ,.
Fantastic accommodation and convenient from and to the airport comfy beds and all for a good price it works rooms small but well designed good size flat screen tv and good shower i can highly recommend fourty four main street.
the room was small but comfortable with a balcony and view of trees so long as you didn't peep over the wall onto the yard. The staff were friendly and efficient the room was clean and the breakfast served at 7am was delicious.
Friendly and helpful Staff.
Food is served in the very long bar, and evening meals, especially the Early Bird are good value.
Breakfast not included, but the Half Breakfast, with Coffee & Toast is only €6.95 each.
Close to airport and nice village feel to Swords. Great place for our final day in Ireland. Modern clean room at a great price. Warm and friendly staff. Nice bar area also with a few other nice pubs nearby.
We were impressed when we walked through the door. Only sorry we didn't have time to enjoy a meal as our stay was very short. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. We would stay again.
hotel clean staff wonderful and very helpful food excellant and reasonable priced.swords well placed for getting into dublin, easy accesss from airport and plenty of pubs and places to eat.
Food was delicious. After doing the Whiskey Testing after Dinner, I did the Beer/Ale/Stout Testing, that was funny. Went to the Airport next morning, so it was good that it was so near.
Very clean, cleaners came twice a day. Great food, excellent value for
money. Quiet, Lovely, friendly young staff! Bar downstairs is a lovely
place to meet friends! Very classy place.
ballsed up the booking myself but they were able to switch it for me no problems , friendly staff clean room lovely place to stay on the main street, shame I couldn't spend more time.
All members of staff were very polite and curtious. You receive a very friendly welcome when you arrive for check in. The food was aslo very nice. The atmosphere very relaxed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Prime location, very close to Restaurants and shops, but not noisy.
Pub and entertainment below which we liked.
Enjoyed the stay overall.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and the room, although small was
very nice. The hotel is right in the middle of Swords Village so lots of
pubs and restuarants around.
Excellent accomadation during my recent 3 day mid week stay in Swords. Friendly and efficent staff and very centrally located; highly recommended.
Room was stylish and comfortable. Everything you need for a short stay, close to airport and good bus service.
Best in the area for the price.
We always enjoy spending a night in swords as it has everything in the town, the people are always friendly, the atmosphere is always great.
Well priced. Friendly staff. Modern room. Loved the location, was easy to just hop on the bus to the airport and a short walk to the mall.
Very nice hotel near Dublin's airport. It is in the middle of swords where you can still enjoy a nice dinner before departure the next day.
was really surprised with the high standard of the room/bathroom because of the rate. it well exceeded my expectations, Staff were great.
Great location to Dublin Airport.
Nice and clean rooms. Great value for the price. Very Safe system from and to the hotel at night time.
Nice bar with good atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Room small but very clean and comfortable. Convenient to bus route into Dublin.
Very good value for money in this two star hotel. Excellent coffee in
restaurant open from 8 am on Sunday.
The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
Convenient to Dublin Airport. Comfortable bed (except the noise issue kept me awake), good shower.
Private rooms on top of a busy pub. Very comfortable and neat. Wifi in pub. Very easy to find.
the staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, place had a good atmosphere and
rooms were clean.
We liked the bar below the hotel it was good for dinner and convenience to the airport.
The staff was so polite - both hotel and pub. The pub meals were
very good.
Everything about this place is beautiful. Staff, rooms, meals and location.
Location, friendliness of staff, busy pub below but not noisy.
Breakfast.
The food was excellent and also the room was very comfortable and clean.
Friendly staff - perfect location - nice small rooms newly refurbished.
Location was very convenient. Room was newly decorated and very clean.
The service was very helpful and friendly. Great value for money.
The room was clean and comfortable. We also liked the location.
Bar/restaurant lovely. Room was very comfortable and spotless!!.
Bar and food were good, room was minimalist and immaculate.
Great room, fantastic staff, disabled friendly, first class.
Extremely cute rooms that were exceptionally clean.
Location to Airport
Friendly staff
Value for money.
Rooms were modern and it was in a great location.
rooms were very clean and tidy
staff very polite.
Nice central location.
Nice pub downstairs.
This is extremely minor, but something I often mention. No hooks on the back.of the doors for coats,or in the bathroom.
Nothing!!!!.
There was absolutely nothing that we could complain about. Nothing! Totally excellent.
they forgotten to call a taxi for the early morning and as a result we had to find one at 5 am staff could do with a bit of training in fact it is the only part i found could be improved.
on the first night i parked on the street and left at eight so no problem with payment but on the second night no street parking was available and i had to walk about 7 mins with my bag. When arriving at my car i was shouted abuse at for parking there even though there were no signs to say it was residential parking only.
You must check-in at the long bar, as the Reception has closed. It can get crowded with
normal customers, especially when the musicians play from 9pm, so try to get your room before 8.30pm.
No AC which probably not generally a problem but quite warm in Dublin when we visited. No on site parking although parking across the road or in sister accommodation a few hundred meters up the street.
2 of the staff (who were in charge) were polite but curt - which made it
a bit uncomfortable. 1 of our bedrooms was directly above the smoking
section of the hotel so you couldn't open your window. Also you have
to walk through the smoking section to get to the hotel part - so that
can be rough!.
parking was a little tough.
Parking is in Public Area. Although this was later sorted with a little help from the Staff. I was able to park in the private car park of their adjacent Pub. So this is not a minus point.
Despite the investment the new owner has made, he has really shot
himself in the foot by only serving breakfast from 9am. He can not
expect to get any repeat business from the commercial sector as who can
sit down for breakfast at 9am on a work day?. I had to go to work hungry
and would not stay here again for this reason.
No Parking
traffic noise from front street.
Can't think of anything to point out.
they dont do breakfast this wasn't a problem for this trip but could have been if I didn't have an early start.
Pity Check In was in bar as it was very busy when we arrived. Access to Accomodation was through the smoking area.
Price of the drinks!!.
Noisy fellow guests (drunk?) up & down the halls until 3 AM, slamming doors & talking extremely loudly. The rooms are not well soundproofed from the exterior.
No phone in room to call management to complain.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Remote control missing for tv in room and realised kettle was broken at
3.30am when I was in desperate need of caffeine having to catch an
insanely early flight back to uk.
We did not like that it advertises as a hotel for air travellers but does not have breakfast served until after 9.00 am. So we missed breakfast. The hotel had no overnight staff and left us no contact number in the event contact was needed.
I don't know if it was letsbookhotel.com's fault or the hotel's,
but our reservation was incorrect. They had us down for one night and we
had registered for two. We had to switch rooms for the second night, and
the room was not acceptable. A malfunctioning crossing signal outside
the hotel kept me up all night with its beeping.
None to report.
The hotel is above a bar and most of the rooms overlook the bar's smoking area. This meant that there was quite a bit of noise spilling over into my room, not ideal for the traveler who needs to rise early. Breakfast on some days wasn't served until 9am, again too late for many business travelers.
No parking. This applies not only to the hotel but Swords.
It was noisy. There was some noise from the pub up until closing and then again at ~3 AM when a noisy couple returned to their room.
N/A.
We could not control the heat.
Expected breakfast as inclusive, as this is very much a self service hotel.
Noise out on street at 3am on a Wednesday night woke me up.
No Desk in room for writing notes etc.
The room we were offered smelt so badly of cigarette smoke that we could hardly breathe.after alerting staff to this we were offered the twin share disabled customer room as the only possible alternative. Not a very suitable option. Very noisy as people were leaving at all hours of the night to cath flights from Dublin airport which was only 10 mins away.
