  We will rate correctly this guesthouse. Why ? Because we were lucky to be upgraded for free in the four stars hotel just across the street. So every thing was clean, we had a private bathroom, a nice bedroom, etc. ... The breakfast buffet looks really nice, unfortunately we had to take our plane and didn't try the breakfast. A place we recommend y... wat mensen zeggen » ou may have the chance to be upgraded in a nice place. It is located a few kilometers away from the airport. - Staff were extremely helpful in helping me sort out a few traveling troubles. They kindly printed my boarding pass, a schedule of shuttles to the Hahn airport, and loaned me an alarm clock as both my watch and mobile phone were out of commission. I made my flight thanks to their help.

  Excellent place to start (or end) your trip. Host met us in airport and within 5 minutes we were at the guesthouse. Facilities are good and room is enough big. Also there are a lot of photos of host, old newspapers (unfortunatly only on Icelandic), books and photobooks about nature both on Icelandic and English. He lives in the house next to the guesthouse. Rooms are big enough, decoration is typically islandish. Breakfast was ok and there is a kitchen we can use. Bathroom was ok.

  Everything was clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen availability was nice. Proximity to sea and airport. Staff was very accommodating, as we came in very late from our flight. - Proximity to airport was a big plus (a mere 5 minute drive). Proprietor was friendly and helpful.   Really clean room. Cute and warm house Even if it was written no breakfast the tenant bring us some bread and cookies for breakfast We were welcomed by basketball players that live in the house and are sponsored by the tenant. They were really nice with us. I recommend this guesthouse - Luckily, we had the whole place to ourselves so could choose... wat mensen zeggen » the room we wanted. Bed was comfy and lots of stuff for breakfast. Check out time was flexible. 10 min drive to Blue Lagoon (go early to avoid the crowd!)

  A perfect starting point for Iceland exploring. The owners are extremely nice and friendly people. Cottage is clean and comfortable. We ended each day with dip in the hot tub on the terrace - fantastic end of each day on Iceland. Tip: owners can contact you with car rental comapny with good cars and very good prices. Great location for airport (10 mins by car) and blue lagoon (~20mins) - yet it is a destination not a generic airport hotel. 5. Owner clearly thought about little practical touches for a small cabin. 6. Saw the northern lights- dark with very little light pollution.

  Our apartment was very nice and clean. This was the only apartment that we stayed in while in Iceland, and it made us wish that we'd stayed in more. The owner was wonderful. Due to travel delays, we extended our stay in Iceland to make up for lost time at the front end of our trip. We had a full day to spend in Iceland on a stopover between Europe and the us. The staff of the guesthouse picked us up at the airport, arranged for rental cars for us, and drove us back to the airport the next day. It was all so easy and convenient.   Guesthouse Borg was a nice place to be in. It is very nice and clean. Also very comfortable, but not luxury. The owner Björk is very nice and helpful and keen on taking care of her guests.
