We have stayed here one night, and were very satisfied. Close to Reykjavik, but you need a car. Nice and clean room, shared bathroom but close to the room we had. Free wifi worked, and we got a glimpse of an real icelandic home, wonderful experience! Great breakfast, with home-made bread which the host prepared herself. We had some great conversations with our host, and enjoyed learning about the culture first hand from her. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

There are enough private parking spaces available - even they are somehow shared toget - I recently stayed at the Harbourfront Guesthouse for two nights on a business trip. The proprietor (Orri) is very friendly, he catered for all my needs and offered an excellent level of service. The guesthouse is modern and clean and offered very good value for money. It is situated within easy walking distance to two or three exceptional restaurants by the side of the harbour and is just metres from the bus station for travelling to Reykjavic or further afield.
