  Wow! What a gem of a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how fabulous this hotel is... everything from the location, decor to the staff service. It certainly added to our experience of Budapest. Make sure you ask them to book all your tours, etc. They have great suggestions and ideas - and the prices were more than reasonable. Very highly recommended. - The second time we stayed here and it was just as excellent. A stunning design hotel with a special feel. The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in and the quality of the bathroom, and large bath, was a real treat. Using the special rates on letsbookhotel.com means that this is excellent value - we even got a room upgrade despite paying the basic rate!!

  Exclusive, very nice, cosy and welcoming place. Everything was excellent (staff, location). I can-t say anything about the breakfast because we didn't have one. We preferred local coffee-shops (and we recommend Ana Caffe - 2 minutes away). The parking is quite expensive but (like we have been lucky) you can find quite a few parking places around a... wat mensen zeggen » nd in front of the hotel. The parking is free during week-ends (from Friday 18.00 pm to Monday 08.00 am) so we paid just a few hours for Monday mornin - Location is perfect. Within walking distance of Buda (10 minutes) across a bridge, of the central Deak Ferenc Ter station (5 minutes) of the Ferenciek ter station which provides Bus/Metro access to Buda (3 minutes). Hotel is very clean and very well suited for travellers looking for comfort and some luxury on a budget. We didn't have breakfast/lunch/dinner at the hotel, so we cannot really judge on the quality of the food.

Overall, we had a very positive experience.

  I can't recall staying in a better city centre hotel than this and all at a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them. The conversion from a venerable old residence to a modern comfortable hotel has been carried out with style and panache. We will certainly try and book the Zichy when we visit Budapest again and would recommend it wholeheartedly to - We loved everything about the hotel.We upgraded our room and stayed in a wonderful junior suite on the fifth floor.It was quiet,clean,big and the bathroom had a walk in shower and a jacuzzi.Plenty of closet space and a great bed.The staff was polite and very helpful.They spoke excellent English.They booked restaurants,massages and ordered taxis.I would defenitely recommend this hotel to all my friends.We also liked its situation,district 8.we walked everywhere.Good job!!!

  The hotel was very elegant and well presented with a very impressive lobby. The concierge service was excellent, helped us book tickets for a boat cruise and recommended a restaurant that was excellent. Rooms are very comfortable and everything looks new, but don't expect a lot of free space. Breakfast was excellent with a - Excellent staff, exceptionally clean and stylish hotel, great facilities, especially the Wellness pools and saunas which were a godsend at the end of a hot day city walking. We could not fault this hotel and will be sure to try and stay here when we visit this wonderful city again. We have already told all our friends how good Continental Hotel Zara was!

We stayed in a superior room which comes with a huge balcony and provides a beautiful view of the adjacent streets and buildings. And the room itself was beautiful!
