Allgäuhaus is set in the centre of the hiking and skiing resort town Oberstdorf, located in the heart of the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. The apartments all have well equipped cooking facilities.
Each apartment has a combined living and sleeping area, a private bathroom with hairdryer. Some apartments come with a south facing balcony and a washing machine is in the basement.
Guests can prepare hearty meals using the kitchenettes, which include a small dining area, tea and coffee facilities, a refrigerator and a stove. Within a 1-minute walk there are several shopping opportunities.
The Schattenberg Ski Jump (1.5km), Heini Klopfer Ski Jump (4km) and Breitbachklamm Waterfall (4.5) are all easily reachable from the apartments. Oberstdorf Therme Spa Park is 500 metres away.
Allgäuhaus is only 350 metres from Oberstdorf Train Station. Free car parking is possible on request.

The location was very good, close to shops and amenities. The apartment was very nice, comfortable and warm with views of the mountains. The kitchen was well equipped. A lovely modern bathroom with a good shower.

I loved everything about this place, it's located on one of the main street in town, near a grocery store, many restaurants and cafe, etc. Staff was excellent and efficient.

cheap and cheerful. comfortable, and ideal for a good night sleep on the slopes. right in the middle of the town, so ideal location.

Location and price.
Only a small niggle which they can't really do anything about. The kitchen area was a bit small with nowhere to put washing up to drain.
Pull down bed - wasn't mentioned in the description, but if you
scroll through all the pictures (which I didn't), it's obvious
no spare toilet paper roll - rather inconvenient to run out of it on a Sunday when all shops are closed.
If there was a microwave in the room, that'd be even better.
Nothing of any significance:
- tricky to find by car due to pedestrianized streets and one way systems
- no English language channels on TV
- no internet facilities.
lacked a bit of charm, but basic, clean and comfortable is all yo need, so who cares....
It is not easy to unlock key.
Hairdryer was not in the room,I had to borrow it at the office.
The check-in process was hassle, we didn't receive the email before our arrival, so we didn't know how to get the key. Also no one answered the phone. And every info inside the room was written in german.
No kitchen sink plug
No Wi-fi.
