Staying in the hotel provides a very good combination of modern hotel features and good placement.. Our room was compact, bright and very quiet despite facing the railway. It was like in a silent movie watching through the window: train arrived, passengers went out, train went further. alle beoordelingen » Very conventiently located near the Central Station, but also near the Reichstag, Friedrichstrasse (shopping) and Brandenburger Tor. Close to the S- and U-Bahn. Eventhough it was so close to the trainstation, we didn´t hear the trains inside. Quick check in and check out and nice service in the bar when we had a drink there one night. We didn´t take breakfast in the hotel as there are so many spots around to have breakfast or lunch. You supplied me with a "ticket". For local transport for the length of my stay. Awesome for me as a solo traveller and exactly what a "new tourist needs". Hotel only a short walk to main train station and staff made me feel welcome, valued and safe! Assisted me with all my "silly questions and requests. You should be proud of the staff you have. For a new hotel of only 10 days it showed. Everything new and clean, one of the best buffet breakfasts I've come across in Europe and South America. Clean, clean, clean. Staff, although new, rushed and exhausted with the opening were impeccable. We were taking the train to Prague and the station was a short walk. Hotel is ideally located for the bus tours, the reichstag, the Brandenburg gate and the Huaptbahnhof Station. Everything else were just a few train stops away. The only thing I could mention with a slight minus was WiFi. Sometimes it was very slow, sometimes it was fine. It may depend on how many guests were using it simultaneously. I flew from overseas and for the most part it was quiet; but at 11 P.m, 1 A.M. 2 A.M. and 3 A.M. it sounded like heavy footed elephants coming down the hallway. No cofee and tea facility in the room, but it is no big problem. Breakfast very expensive and total chaos at peak time. The addition of tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be good. Location had no local feeling. No neighborhood at all -- transit necessary for dining, drinks, shops, etc. Hotel food was poor and expensive. No tea/coffee. None. There are no gym facilities in the hotel and the internet usage charges us money (EUR 8 everyday). The bed was to soft. Towels to small. Nothing. We received double room instead of confirmed twin room 4* hotel could have the tea/coffea acces.in every room as a standard. Nothing. 1. Matress was too hard 2. Pillows were not good 3. No coffee maker in the room. There were no any Hotel lobby computer. The wifi is very slow and if you want a better quality you need to pay eur 8 per day. Very expensive comparing to other hotels. Nothing. Breakfast was not included in our price and we had to pay 30 euros per couple - which we didn't. Staff is polite, willing to help you but they have to learn how to treat a foreigner. ie I asked to book me a taxi to the airport and they said "there is a taxi line outside the metro station, you should go there"... may be tea/coffee facility would be great in the room. Nothing. Breakfast overpriced. A slightly unpleasant smell in some areas. Noisy duvets!. Nothing. We missed our coffee or tea in the room. Waited 15 min. to check out. no tea making facilities in room. My booking on letsbookhotel.com showed a certain amount, the check-in staff were asking for more, which led to a 20 minute delay in checking in! No aesthetics at all - attempts at aesthetics looked boringly mechanical!. Construction works going on next door ,no warning at time of booking. Very slow free internet speed,. The staff at reception is not patient to treat guest of questions from internet & tourism information. Was rather chaotic when the fire alarm went off at 5am. The staff is not very helpful. When the internet connection is extremely slow. Asked the front desk and was told that it is normal for the slowness since it is free. Room make up is sometime later than 16:00 so guests need to wait at the lobby for hour. Poor menu in the restaurant in the evening. We had two nights there. My room was cleaned after the first night.
