Wat mensen zeggen

1. Newly renovated/refurbished; the buildings, rooms, and grounds appeared in top shape. 2. Very pleasant & helpful staff, including room cleaning staff who immediately replaced a burned out light bulb. 3. Wifi included, and it worked well in our room. 4. Relatively short distance to walk into the center of town. 5. Parking included, which was especially helpful on market day. The hotel even let us leave our car in the car park after we had checked out, so that we wouldn’t have to park in .
alle beoordelingen My husband and I booked the Hotel for a dbl room for 5 nights some time prior to our travels. We arrived mid-Oct. From a stay in Sardinia; our grand tour continues until end of Jan. 2014 so we have lots of stuff. The room held for us was very small @ 100E/night plus 10Epp/day for simple breakfast. We asked and we offered a great apt. With kitchenette @140E/day(posted@ 165/day. So we took it , of course, w/o breakfasts...we can buy lots of suitable food for 20e daily! The location is wonderful, . We stayed at the hotel on March the 26th. We did not know that the hotel went through a renovation process and just reopened on March the 25th. One can see that there is still work to be done, but for sure it will be finished in a few weeks. The rooms are simple but comfortables and of a very good size. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. (Two kinds of breads, orange juice, coffee, tea, marmalade, 3 different cheeses and some frutis.) The location is really good, is just a few blocks from the v. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel du Soleil. The renovations are complete, and every corner of the hotel was spotless and brand-new. The service was friendly, and the staff speaks enough English that we had no difficulties communicating. The location was perfect - a short walk into town, and close to all of the attractions St. Remy has to offer - the antiquities at Glanum, the Van Gogh walk and the asylum, the quaint shopping district, and excellent restaurants. Overall we felt it was an . We were delayed and the owner was very helpful. He met us when we arrived and was a lovely man and made us feel most welcome. The hotel was in a beautiful setting and the room was superbly finished. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace . The owner advised us if the close proximity of several restaurants ad we had arrived late. We will definitely stay here again . The pool was refreshing after a day of touring. The rooms are decorated cleanly and comfortably. The breakfast is simple but delicious and fresh. The estate feel of the hotel right on the edge of this beautiful town makes for an excellent romantic 2-night stay while centrally located in Province. The hotel offers parking which is also very convenient. The area is very accessible for a lot of activities. We liked that we could park at the hotel and walk into town allowing us to easy access to the shops and restaurants without having to hassle with parking in town which is at a premium. The swimming pool was appreciated as it was hot! The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. Beautiful French decor in rooms and immaculately tidy grounds and pool area. We had one of the apartments with a kitchenette and it was stylish and spacious. Doris was the perfect host and all staff friendly. Just a few minutes walk to town. Would 100% stay here again. Hotel recently renovated - great attention to detail and elegance. Proprietors and staff very helpful. Ideal property for those wanting to enjoy the pool and vicinity by day and pin-drop quiet time at night. Continental breakfast was fresh and ample - a good value. Gem of a place - easy walk to town, parking, very nice buffet breakfast in garden patio, nice pool, nicely landscaped with olives, lavender, wisteria; rustic stone buildings, quiet, friendly helpful staff, recently remodeled rooms and bath, great location and value. This is a beautiful resort. We had a room in the newer part of the hotel and it was extremely comfortable and attractive. The pool area was lovely. The breakfasts great and the staff very efficient and friendly. Being able to walk in to St Remy is a great bonus. Very friendly and helpful staff. Second time to St Remy and this charming Hotel has great location with town Centre. Has all the facilities, ample car parking and would not hesitate to stay again when next in the area. Very well run and very clean . Close walk to city centre and loads of restaurants etc. nice pool area and covered area with seating area. Quiet yet close to Remy . Breakfast good with selection of jams and good coffee. We stayed in 1 of the self-contained apartments. It was well equipped, we were able to shop at the local market It's very close to town, lovely to walk arround. We were there for 3 days, we loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very attractive facilities, newly renovated, stylish. Excellent location from which to explore Provence. Lots of parking in facility, walking to lots of restaurants. Great location 5 mins. walk to the town with fantastic little shops and interesting streets. Secure parking. pleasant walled garden and pool. Room & bathroom excellent. Breakfast was good. The hotel has recently been renovated and was a really lovely surprise. There were still some outdoor work being done which was a bit noisy during the day - especially around the pool!. A very nice Hotel a short walk from the hub of St Remy. Free onsite parking available. Nice, well decorated rooms with air con. We really enjoyed the pool. nice room, beautifully renovated, spacious and calm pool and breakfast patio, though on walking distance from the vibrante centre of St. Remy de provence. Great location walking distance from the old town. Nice breakfast outside in the terrace area. Good room and very clean. Overall very good experience. Location (in walking distance to the old town of St. Rémy. Quietness although close to center. Very friendly people. Very clean The apartment concept. Access to town and restaurants within 300m. Hotel clearly refurbished recently to a great standard.Secure parking was a bonus. The cleaning standards are very high. The rooms and environment is calm and relaxing. In our view a top stay. We will return. Location was great. We rented an apartment which was a wonderful change from eating all our meals in restaurants. The central location. The ambience. The breakfast. The developing buildings. The people. The typical French style of the property with a courtyard and outdoor settings and a pool. Location close to everything but quite, great value breakfast, free car parking on site. We had a 'suite' which was, in fact, a small terraced house, well-converted and fitted. A tasteful conversion of an old villa and farm buildings in a central location. Nice location, near market and tourist office of the city. Parking. Pool. Very good hotel, nicely fitted, and well located. Excellent breakfast. Perfect place, very nice and big rooms and beds, great breakfast. Absolutely nice place, nice people, very clean and very provencal. Decoration, location, cleanlyness, friendly staff. Wonderful, romantic, short walk to town center. Free parking and easy walk into St Remy. Nice hotel. Location and cleanliness of rooms. Very convenient to town with lots of eating options. Good car parking and pleasant open courtyard space around pool and dining area. Efficient staff and reasonable price. Would stay again. nice location, quiet. 1. We booked late, so our room was on the second story (third level), which meant a lot of stairs to haul the suitcases up. Next time I’ll book earlier. 2. Although there was one suitcase stand, our other suitcase had to share the TV strand with the flat-screen TV (after I moved the TV to the very edge of the table). The hotel really ought to provide a table or stand for a second suitcase. As other people said, the gardens, the driveway and the room entrances need some attention. Only a couple of improvements we would suggest: first, provide some "do not disturb" signs for guests to hang on the door. The cleaning staff (who did a very thorough job!) began knocking at 9:30 a.m., which is a bit early, especially as we were on our honeymoon. Secondly, offer rooms with one large bed instead of two twin beds pushed together. I have no idea why this trend is so common in Europe, but it is unfortunate. No fridge or ice bucket so one can't drink their own white or rose wines purchased in the region. The owner/manager does not like people. She is impolite to her staff, her husband and guests. I think she's in the wrong business. Our room had recently been remodeled and its appearance was great but there was no bureau nor flat horizontal surface wider than about 6 inches on which to write, set a book, or lay things. The breakfast was okay on 2 occasions and poor on one day. We think maybe a large group cleaned everything out. Room was small but well appointed. Couldn't stay longer. Maybe a small shelf in the shower for soap, shampoo, etc. Nothing. Nil. We stayed 4 nights and did day trips ti sights which worked well but room although lovely was on the small side for longer stays. Fortunately weather was great so when we wanted to relax were outside. Nothing. Quite small rooms but everything you needed for a comfortable stay. You shouldn't be spending too much time in your room anyway with such a beautiful village of St Remy to explore!. We found the staff at reception to be a little cold. Also this is not the place to stay if you like a sleep-in when on holiday as the cleaners had the vacuum cleaner going outside the room early each day and would persistently knock on our door to clean the room. check in must happen before 8pm (not easy when staying there for professional reason). Staff were not always really friendly. A bit hot and cold but overall a good experience. Difficult to find faults, although our 4 day stay was in the quiet season and the hotel wasn't busy. The manager (a woman - perhaps the owner) was unfriendly, bordering rude. The rest of the staff was great. The stair climb to our bedroom. The lack of any luxury feel to the room - all bare walls and tile floors. No restaurant or bar on site. Small room. The door is widely open on little terrace and on the public place. The door is also your window, there is no another window. You have to open the door to vetntilate the room. So, you should choose between your privacy and fresh air. Everything was fine. Floor is stone, dont forget slippers. Only continental breakfasts. We thought we would be in the old section of the hotel which has a beautiful ambience but we ended up being in more modern very small hotel room, which was a bit disappointing. Not very welcoming lady in charge. Breakfast now 9 Euros not 8 as advertised, confirmation said city tax included but it wasn't and rooms while very clean and attractively decorated offered very basic amenities. Not possible to get breakfast before 8 Nothing in room like tea cooker or frigde. Too expencive for season/features.
