  Beautiful hotel in the centre of one of the prettiest places we have ever been, Saint-Emilion. We stayed in a suite, which was very pricey, but still lovely. The pool and gardens were superb and immaculately kept. The reception/bar was maybe a little lacking in atmosphere but the rest of the hotel made up for this minor complaint! I'm not sure of ... wat mensen zeggen » her name, but the lady at reception who studied in Ireland was so lovely. - Wonderful facilities. Our double room was fairly standard but the real value for money comes in making the most of the swimming pool and wonderful garden area. The hotel is in an excellent location and perfect for seeing Saint Emilion and surroundings by foot or bicycle.

  Pretty much everything. The location was wonderful, rolling vineyards as far as the eye can see. We ate family meals out on the terrace above the vineyards in the evening - perfect quiet spot with the scent from the tilleuls in the yard. Delicious breakfasts and friendly staff (thank you, Valerie and the girls) and plenty of freedom to use the ... wat mensen zeggen » kitchen and its facilities. We had the bedroom up under the roof - a wonderful arrangement of quirky beams and low windows as shown on the website. - Great place that photos don't do justice to. Was really pleasantly surprised to arrive down a lovely tree lined drive and be warmly welcomed to the building which has been beautifully restored. Great facilities, and great to be able to buy local wines and drink on the Terrace overlooking stunning views of vineyards. Lovely room, and all spotlessly clean. Only disappointment was the weather was not good enough to use pool or hot tub. Definitely recommend and hope to return.
