  We only stayed one night so didn't really get to see much of Pornic.. The hotel is beautiful. Wonderful well kept gardens out the front. We had a 1st floor room with small balcony overlooking these gardens and also with a view of the sea. Only a short stroll down to the sandy beach below the cliffs. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had... wat mensen zeggen » a super meal. We also took breakfast and there was a great selection of bread/cakes and other .goodies. - The staff at the Auberge are extremely helpful and went out of their way to arrange a taxi for me late at night. The inn with roses growing all over and farm animals in pastures out back and the ocean in the distance was very relaxing and beautiful (note: it was a bit far to walk to town). Bikes, walking paths, spectacular gardens. Eco-friendly with delicious, organic foods mostly produced on site.

  The receptionist spoke very good English. You were allowed to come and go as you pleased. The beach was very close. Despite reviewers warnings parking not really a problem plenty of free parking within 5 mins.Hotel clean and comfortable stairs to top floor could be a problem for some. - Very clean with perfect uncluttered simple décor. Very tasteful accommodation indeed. Had a most comfortable time!
