We loved the carefully renovated villa, every detail felt like it was well thought out. The location was stunning and beautiful and the hostess was very friendly and helpful. The trodding of stairs is good exercise after all the good food you'll eat. The breakfast was nice.
The rooms & common areas were beautiful & very comfortable. The
setting was quiet, relaxing & had great views. The included
breakfast was delicious. And Mercedes, our hostess, was gracious,
friendly & offered great travel/restaurant advice.alle beoordelingen »
The lovely owner was very welcoming, particularly due to our late arrival time. Very kindly provided us a coffee as we were too tired to go out for dinner. The balcony room was lovely and very quiet and overlooked the garden.
- friendly welcome
- spacious, nicely decorated room
- delicious breakfast (on terrace)
- small, shady garden with possibility to eat outside
- wifi available and fairly good connection.
The maison d'hôtes is in a beautiful old residential house, accurately renovated. It has conserved his ancient character thus offering all comfort of contemporary life.
The location was quiet and charming. It felt like we were in a country retreat, just a few minutes from the bustling city of Lyon.
The situation was excellent but it is vital that any guest is aware of the number of steps to be climbed to access the building.
Fantastic location in superb town house up on the flanks of the river Saone. Very friendly and musical guests.
Very good classic room built in 17th century. friendy owner with good breakfast.very quiet place.
Amazing location and beautiful room. Delicious breakfast and charming host.
Quiet position within walking distance of the old town and the riverside.
house was beautiful, service was excellent.
Nice cosy bed and breakfast.
Very nice composed rooms, friendly hosting, hope to come again.
Very helpful host. Lovely location, once we got there.
Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds.
very friendly and kind owners.
It was a little bit difficult to find, and it definitely requires some trodding in stairs to get there as well as to and from the town of Lyon.
The only drawback to the hotel was the long staircase connecting it to
the street. There was alway available parking at the top of the steps,
and during the bulk of our stay the steps weren't a major issue. But
transferring luggage from & to the car when we first arrived &
departed was difficult. This may be more of an issue for older guests
(like my party).
The only problems with this guesthouse are that it is located midway up a set of very steep steps and it is 15 minutes walk to Gare Saint-Paul. We like to walk so this wasn't an issue for us, but would probably be more suitable for travellers with their own car.
- lack of shower curtain in bathtub so difficult to shower without flooding the floor
- loads of steps either up or down to get to the Maison d'Hotes - tho' not a bad thing to work off the rich Lyonnais food!.
There are quite a few stairs to get to the place. All you need is to know. But you can easily walk to the city center.
The only access to the hotel was by descending or ascending a fair number of stairs. This hotels would not be recommended for anyone with mobility issues. It was not easily accessible.
The soundproofing is not very good. While we were there a young cellist was practising for entry to the Conservatoire!.
Need to travel light as there are a few steep steps to take before you reach the house. But good for the physique.
little difficult to reach with GPS and look for the parking around the place.
Quite difficult to find, detailed instructions emailed prior to arrival would be very helpful.
surprised how may stairs.
Lots of stairs so carry light.
The sat nav directs you to the bottom of the steps which lead to the hotel but the hotel is near the top. It was quite difficult to find the top of the steps.
Lots of stairs to get to the hotel and into the city, no assistance with bags, no air conditioning or fans.
the too many stairs to reach the hotel.
