  It is a new chalet, decorated and equipped very nicely. The family that run the place is exteremly nice and plesant. They spend extenssive time providing us with detailed information on the region and very helpful tips on hiking etc. It was a great experience and i warmly recommend it.

The bedrooms are very cozy and charming (you can find coffe, tea, hot water and some snacks available in your bedroom) and bathroom has a very good shower where you can have a hot water massage. However, the outstanding point here is the extremely lovely and helpful Mdme. Pascaline. The location of the place was excellent, and with our rental car we could drive to several ski lifts in 15-30 minutes. Pascaline, the owner, was incredidly friendly and helpful, and it felt as if we were visiting an old friend - or more: we really felt at home!   Auberge le Montagny is in a quiet tranquil location at base of Mont Blanc, yet is very close to all the action in Chamonix. The rooms have a rustic decor, beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. One of our rooms looked right out to the mountain and the other room had its own private garden. The breakfast was ample and delicious.   This was our first family ski holiday. Our children are 5 & 8. We booked lessons for us all. The location was perfect to walk to ski lift every morning. There was a nice sledge area by our chalet. Pool was clean & nice area to relax after skiing.

  Nice, calm location in the Chamonix valley, with great views to the surrounding mountains. Bus stop within a few minutes walk to access the whole valley, restaurants within 15, a supermarket within 25 minutes. The room is nice and clean, definitely better than what the one-star rating would suggest. Not luxury but very clean and able to have a shower after skiing once already booked out.

  Sandra, the owner, couldn't do enough for you. One of the most happy and helpful propreiters I have ever come across and on more than one occasion Sandra went above and beyond the call of duty for my group. Very impressive lady with a big heart. Rooms were small but clean and well layed out. Restaurant was good and breakfast more than adequate. St... wat mensen zeggen » op for the ski bus was right outside the hotel. Supermarket just up the road. - The owners were absolutely friendly and the room lovely; the bathroom was a bit small and the WC was separated from the other bathroom facilities but that was not a real problem, at least for us...the SPA was way over expectation, with jacuzzi, sauna and hammam. Even if Les Houches is a bit outside Chamonix (8 km / 5 mi) the advantage is that it is cheaper
