  De gastheer, Alexandre, is ontzettend aardig, gastvrij, behulpzaam en zorgde iedere ochtend voor een lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt, wat we in alle rust konden opeten. Chambre d'Autres is heel apart en gezellig. Ik heb nog nooit zoiets orgineels gezien. Echt een aanrader. Daarbij ligt het in het historisch centrum van Montpellier en kun je dus alles... wat mensen zeggen » in de naaste omgeving vinden, van shoppen, tot lekker eten, tot cultuur snuiven. En Alexander helpt je graag om goede adviezen te geven. Echt helemaa - This B&B is a delight for the senses and provides a smorgasboard of aesthetically pleasing treasures. Alexander, who is the most hospitable of hosts, has filled his house with beloved objets d’art, plants and pictures of all kinds, which all combine to create a whimsical fantasy world. The building dates back to the 14th century and has beautiful stone floors, ornate ceilings and light streaming in from its floor-to- ceiling windows overlooking the quiet cobblestoned streets of Montpellier. - The welcome from Alex is second to none. He not only recommended restaurants but made the reservations for us, gave us advice on what to see (down to which paintings in the art gallery!) and gave a warm, colourful and unforgettable dimension to our stay in Montpellier. Also the location is great, right in the heart of the old city. If you are after an experience that is more personal than staying at a hotel, I would recommend Chambre d'Autres.

  If you are wanting to experience the buzz of being right in the centre of an old French City, look no further than Alex's 2nd floor apartment. From the start when Alex led us down the tiny passage to the old wooden door that opened into the hallway of the apartment block and led us up the 42 steps to the charming apartment with its mezzanine floor... wat mensen zeggen » , it was a wonderful experience. Alex is a charming man who could not have been more helpful. It started with liaising as to the arrival time by text, - The location was excellent. It was very close to la Place de la Comédie. It was a charming old style French appartment. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. There was an oven, refrigerator, dishes, and a washing machine with a rack for drying the clothes. The master bedroom was downstairs. It is difficult to find a hotel room for 3 people near the city center in Montpellier, so for our needs, it worked well. A second bedroom was upstairs. Caroline and her daughter-in-law were very pleasant to deal with. - The apartment was central to all you need for a city stay. It was large, comfortable, easy to find and access.

It is located in the heart of the old city with it's narrow, winding cobbled streets, and it even has it's own historical monument plaque above the front entrance! The studio was very spacious, clean and had a handy kitchen area with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. - We stayed in the single room apartment. Prior to arrival I wasn't quite sure what to expect since there weren't any photos but rest assured that this apt is of the highest standard. Trendy decor and newly renovated. Bathroom was modern and clean. Room was spacious and classy. I actually proposed to my girlfriend there..and the owner helped setup candles, flowers, wine, food, etc. He was very accommodating and polite. Highly recommended. Also, perfectly located in the center of town.
